  1. Dalglish cant see the wood for the trees, and let the reputation of his side down with his post match interview. The best side one, and it was good to see Evre celebrating the win right next to suarez, after his refusal to shake hands.
  2. That's a bloody good effort mate. Excellent. Where is it? Its Rannoch Mor just out side Glencoe yes got it, It's the lochs that left and right of the road prior to Glencoe. Just didn't recognise them on my phone. These and the next mountain on the left whose name escapes me, must be some of the most photographed in Scotland.
  3. That's a bloody good effort mate. Excellent. Where is it?
  4. Some of the very best Scottish landscapes, and some good snow ones are by my favorite landscape photographer Colin Prior. His books,"Scotland the wild places" and "The worlds wild places" and "Highland Wilderness" are just superb, and I can sit down in a quiet moment and study the tiny detail in each picture, never tiring looking at the same pictures time and time again. Well worth buying. Your picture of Loch Awe above, reminded me a little of his work.
  5. This one was taken on a cracking little grouse moor on the dark side of the pennines!
  6. Hardy c*nts brrr. It was bloody cold. Behind the beaters on the bottem photo was a frozen reservoir. It had been frozen for weeks, and the guns for the first time in memory, actually lined out across the reservoir, instead of along the track!
  7. Depends what you want it for. Do you mean .22 centrefire or .22wmr.?
  8. Paul, Bob, nice ones there with similar skies. I knew this wouldn't get as many pics as the sun ones, but thanks.
  9. Used to do it every year as a kid, the closest saturday to the 12th May. Where I live now the rookeries are only small and get left well alone, which is a good thing in my opinion, as they do little harm harm around here.
  10. You've got a terrific view from your window Steve. Nice pics as well. We get plenty of hares around here as well, but I hear some estates your way shoot 5-600 in a day sometimes. ATB
  11. Usually late feb to early march, but it depends on many things such as the weather, how many rabbits are left, what the landowner wants, and whether the does are carrying young. Personnally I dont like to see a total wipeout of rabbits as most people dont, as the remaining rabbits are the sport and breeding stock for the following season. Unfortunatly sometimes around horses I have to continue later.
  12. From memory there was a part number on the underneath of the bolt handle on the square bit, and the full number stamped into the bottem of the action, somewhere near to the extractor.
  13. The barrels are often pitted a little bit inside, but they are genrally solid barrels
  14. I have my fondness shooting memories from this gun. It was the first shotty I ever fired and shot everything from sparrows to foxes with it. They are generally fully choked and excellent for shooting sitting rabbits at 30m+ if your aim is good. I also used to love stalking sitting pigeons in the winter woods, and was a great skill to learn, with twigs cracking under your feet. The later models had a twist safety, but the earlier models didn't. Great gun, you won't regret buying one. The barrel is short about as short as it can legally go, but the overall length gives it an appearance o
  15. Looks good for pollock off the rocks, and a great beach shot.
  16. I'll look forwards to Ideations next post, it will start like this..... ""Great days ferreting near Lakenheath...................................................."
  17. I'm reading Bevis at the moment an its a great read. A book for all lads who lived to hunt and live the great adventure of life.
