Stewie I reckon 20 swims will do it..there's been no one come on new really.. Is staffs riff raff fishing? And your brother? I Reckon my brothers coming, he won't fish but will help out if needs be... Can we set up Sat at your brothers place? Sounds like a few of us will be up on the sat night...

Here mate info on rod license... Go on line for any more... No idea on local permits I'd imagine they'd be annual or perhaps you could buy day/weekly permits?? I think the broads are coarse fisheries so you won't be eating much from there, no idea about the river...

As hit meat said mate, you'd need to go to the post office to get your rod license and your local tackle shop for a permit to fish what ever water it is your planning on fishing.... Put the river name up that your like to fish and someone maybe able to give you more info...

Sorry mate I got sucked in like a naughty schoolboy lol.. What are the swims looking like, you've been very quiet about them mate ??? Lol there still the same mate.......... i needed the weekend off lol done four weeks straight and was about ready to collapse lol so were meeting there next sunday instead....... Haha, I thought you'd been a bit quiet... I was waiting for the photos etc...

It's going to bedlam mate I can see it now, Haymin out mid river in chesties chucking fluff about, Mel flinging fcking great mackerel everywhere lol, stig on his sette, lol.... It's not going to be your average river match anyway lol...

The only problem I'd say Haymin would be you'd be stuck in 1 swim, you can't walk the banks etc... It's not like the freedom of a loch, you never know though mate....

My brother was working on the Exeter Chiefs ground a few yeas back... Big contractor on the job, he had to wear at all times, long trousers, shirt, hi viz, hard hat, gloves and goggles.. He was up on the roof in a real sun trap and it was red hot , ended up with heat exhaustion and was in a bad way for couple of days.. Site agents for big firms have no common sense at times.. The same as some of these head masters ( wearing a blazer Ffs Johnny, you should have put him in a dress lol)..,

Are all the welsh lads wearing skirts to the comp then lol... I'm sure socks likes wearing some dodgy get ups??? Lol Ok I get the making a stance thing, but there's no way I'd let my lad go to school in a dress, if I was that concerned I'd keep him home,....

Was owed a favour off a mate who's a landscaper, he turfed my garden early this year, I've watered it and looked after it as best a crap gardener like me can..... It looks shit already, brown patches from the dogs and this sun has finished it off lol

Terminal tackle is all the bits and bobs lads, hooks, weights etc... I'll make sure anyone that wants to fish can, ( well within reason lol) as long as you can cast ( more than 8 yards stig lol) and unhook a fish etc, I don't mind getting you going... I'll bring extra feeders, floats, hooks etc so everyone can have a go if they want.. We've now got a Scottish anglers which makes it a Tri nation match lol

As the lads have said Stig, find a bit of deepish water off of rocks or a pier and silver foil type feathers are hard to beat.. Jerk the rod as you retrieve, ( sweep the rod back them wind up the slack)... Good luck mate, not going Bantham are you mate??? Lol

Everywhere fishes differently Mel, round here tend to find most places fish best on the incoming...
