  5. With the match looming u thought I'd get on the river for the day, not been in it as much as I'd like yet.. Nice day, burnt to hell, but a couple of nice mullet and a bream, plus a bag of bits made up for it... I'm getting concerned with the otter loose, Mel and his Macky pike baits, Arch the river local, etc...
  6. You'd be better waiting till the end of the week when you've got an evening high tide, best tide time is around 9pm so for up your end I'd say next sat/ sun would be a good tide, bigger tides next weekend too...
  7. They're allround Lyme bay now mate, A lad I know was catching them 10 yards off the beach at Budleigh which is west from Branscombe right round to Berry head, pick an evening high tide and fish a beach with a bit of water infring if you and you'll bag..

  10. Well that's Yeovil for you lol .. At least his wife don't think it's odd he's patrolling the street with a polystyrene sword Ffs lol...
  11. It's only my brother or my mum and dad who look after my animals, there the only ones who babysit the kids too.. I struggle to trust people with anything precious..
  12. If you got sick on the Norfolk broads then no, I don't think the sea is the place for you to mess about in boats on! I'd have to agree, there's not much of a swell on the old broads lol...
  13. i will try your methods first then its two 20 pounders for me if they dont work lol I'm on the river tomorrow Mel, alarms set for 5-30, but I can't sleep ( exited like a kid lol).. I walked the dogs there tonight and it was a live with fish, mullet everywhere, fish moving all over... Roll on first light lol
  14. never realy been in to them but never seen this many for years round here ,but great sport we gave 50 away on the way home to holiday makers and put 122 back to fight another day Nice one mate, some just think it's only mackerel they'll always be there.. They get hit bloody hard every year, good job on putting some back mate... We fished last Saturday evening, we were watching the shoals driving the bait fish against the sea wall, fishing a real light spinnin rod and 6 lb line just a hook and a live Sandeel, real good fun, we were chasing them along the wall trying to keep up with the sh
  15. Oh I see now Mel..... PIKE.. !!!!... You ain't having the Craigyboy cup with a bloody pike lol..
  16. Fck the violin cases, Your going to need Cello cases....!!! Lol There's loads around now mate, I like to fish for them with real light gear now though, there no good frozen so just a few for the pan for me... Fair play if you got rid of them though mate, it'll keep a few houses in fish lol

  19. I used to really f**k my first wife off, with my ability to hold a perfectly normal conversation between throwing my ring up. Spewing up is a natural function and doesn't bother me in the least. Get it the f**k out of ye! I'm the opposite mate, I'll fight it forever, I I get the old watery mouth I'm there swallowing and trying my best to avoid spuing... I absolutely hate being sick..... What a fanny I am lol !!
  20. Nice post Stewie, you can tell he meant a lot to you... I've said it loads before but it is crazy how you can feel genuinely close to people you've never met before, We'll make sure he's toasted well at the do mate, the Craigyboy cup will be kept in drink in his honour.. Atb Kev
  21. Been quite fortunate not to suffer from seasickness... Took a coloured lad out fishing with us one day, was about 20 miles off wrecking... Nice steady swell, turns around the black lads gone white, then green lol... He looked funny as fck proper colour change ( tirned into michael jackson before your eyes lol) Hes got it ripped out of him ever since, fair play to him though, he kept fishing, was spuing all day, hung over the side reeling up and spuing at the same time lol...
  22. Always thought as a kid I'd end up in the fishing trade some way or another mate, I done work Experiance in a new tackle shop right in the quay, I set up rods and fished to "test them" most days it was perfect... But he went bust lol I ended up working in Exeter Angling Centre for 18 months, I loved it but I just knew it would never pay, I'm still very close to the owners but I ended up on the building sites lol I love the environment in tackle shops, I've worked all over the country and always take my rods, I'm yet to find any tackle shop that hasn't been helpful....
  23. That's it mate, with eBay and such like some tackle shops struggle now, I was in ours today I'm always in there at least an hour having a yap... One of the lads gave me a nod on a stretch of river which is fishing, I've just walked it and its alive...I'll be there first light tomorrow.. You'll struggle to get better info than a tackle shop...
  24. What river are you looking to fish mate? Someone may know the river on here and give you some pointers.. Good post from hot meat... Don't forget your local angling shop, they should be able to give you good advice, you may want to look at buying off eBay or something but personally I like to go into the shop and get first hand information on what's going on, most shops become like a little information centre once you've been in a few times, in general they should be happy to help..
  25. Shame you can't make it but Thanks mate, I'm speaking to a mate next week who does a lot of events for charities ( marathons, triathlons that sort of thing) he sets up an online donation straight to the charity but you can see what's raised, I'm hoping I can link that to the pinned thread so if anyone wants to donate but can't make it great....
