We all know the story mate... point is adversity is there for everyone in life, mental strength is as much a test as physical strength..he's not the first or last to suffer loss, poverty, hardship...but he was not mentally strong enough to make the right decisions and that eventually cost him.. Could he have beat Holyfield or Lewis if he had lived the proper life? Maybe maybe not... the facts are they won and showed his weaknesses...

Bit of class from Parker, fair play to him

Loads of them mate, from Mexico to the Phillipines... Pac man lived on the streets from 14, Hagler was dodging bullets most of his young life, Chavez was poor as a church mouse... its a recurring theme, but it either gives you something or takes something away, unfortunately Tyson reverted to type too many times and showed mental weakness...

All very true and well documented... I think most of the great boxers have had to deal with adversity in their lives, for many it is their escape and path to a better life.. No doubt Tyson was the biggest name on the planet at a very young age, he had everything too soon and no shortage of people to take advantage of him... but when arguing different boxers and who is the greatest etc, Tyson will always always been thrown in the mix and pre buster Douglas Tyson who could argue, but his frailties, mentality etc was put to the test a few times and he came up short.. ultimately his choi

Loved Tyson as a kid, I was 10 when he beat Trevor Berbick for the world title.. remember it like yesterday...but.. he wasn't dedicated to the game, you can make all the excuses in the world and say a 20 year old Tyson would beat anyone, the truth is a still young Tyson lost to better fighters, he was 30 when he lost to.Holyfield, 35 when he lost to Lewis.. early 20s when he lost to Buster Douglas (freak punch, or zero preparation?)... The bottom line is Tyson wasn't mentally strong enough to train properly, live properly, conduct himself properly and he lost to the best he fought as they

The problem is that's the money fight, Parker won't have the same draw... I don't see any point in it though, I'm sure Usyks earnt enough to keep some integrity...mind you I think he'd spark fury after tonight's performance, that would be nice lol
-
Yeah your on tbe wind up...nice one, you had me
-
He's had a dozen fights against carefully chosen opponents, as it should be, he looks very good, but behave.. he's not been in with anyone yet.

Masterclass...

Mate, do you not think the best coaches in the world and elite fighters have a game plan to beat they're opponent?...im not sure if you're pn a wind up, or just don't see what's infront of your face..Usyk controlled everything in tbe fight, Dubois couldn't make him do anything, if Usyk was on the ropes or in a corner it was cause he wanted to be there, he wants Dubois to come onto him throwing punches, he slips and throws counters better than pretty much anyone, watch it again... both knockdowns came from Dubois "forcing" usyk onto the ropes, or back foot ..dubois wasn't in control of that, u

I don't really see much point in Usyk taking any more fights, he has proven beyond doubt he's the best in the division, I like Parker but he won't trouble Usyk.. there is no one worth fighting, Moses Itauma looks a fantastic prospect, I'm looking forward to following his career, Dubois will come again, he's young enough shd good enough...usyk has nothing to prove, if you're a boxing fan you would appreciate what he's done from the best of the amatures to clearing out 2 divisions as a pro...job done
-
Other than half of round 3 Usyk was in complete control... No shame on Dubois, he's just too good
-
You can't steam in and bully him, he's too good, his movement, footwork, counter punching, feints (feet and hands), he has the lot as a boxer... he walks you onto shots...tonight was a masterclass, Dubois didn't have the answers for it and I don't think any of tjr current crop do either...the blokes had 300 odd mature fights, gone through 2 divisions abd cleaned up as a pro... I think it's time to accept he's a very special fighter

The new Seven Nation Army
-
Your joking yeah??
-
Not bad for an arm puncher.. f***ing class...Best in the division by a country mile
-
Good luck mate
-
Sweet Caroline does my head in, every sporting occasion now.... all that 'so good, so good, so good" bollocks....I think okolie has put me in a bad mood lol
-
Agreed I struggled to keep my eyes open mate, shit fight
-
It's been quite a poor under card tbh..
-
Can't believe how big Okolie is now!
-
Edmonson made it messy, hard night for Lapin, but Edmonson was drained in the last 2 rounds, ultimately cost him a very close fight .. Lapin probably just dome enough, was a bit cleaner

You said ge couldn't knock people out at cruiser weight mate, he sparked Bellew at CW

I'm with everyone else on this one (apart from MC, I think ? Lol).. dubois has come on loads in his last few fights, it seems like he's put those set backs against Joyce and the first Usyk fight behind him... he was very good against Hergovic and although Joshua was shite and looked washed up, Dubois was a complete bully in that fight, massive occasion, all built around a lot of hype for Joshua and Dubous demolished him...what I.liled is it was the first time in the fight Joshua hurt him, his instinct was to throw back and he caught AJ with a peach, when AJ was on the front foot for the first
-
Bellew may argue that mate! Lol
