Go into Tools on the top menu, select Accounts and a pop-up will appear. Select your account then press the Properties button to the right. Under the General tab you'll see the top field (which will probably be highlighted). Type in there the name you want on your emails, press Apply then OK. Send me a test if you like
  2. But did it sort the problem?

Do you use Outlook or Outlook Express as your email client?
  4. Excellent  I had to leave my best worker after a rumbling below ground resulted in a fox bolting - I set boxes, went back, but nothing. Anyway, I'm glad that it's not always bad news.
  5. You're going to have a bad day every now and then; when it happens tick it off as one out of the way and look forward to the good ones
  6. So you didn't even know she was on the hare then until it was too late! I'm assuming you tried to stop her once you realised, if so then you're innocent in my book
  7. I wish I had open warrens like that - I'm jealous
  8. Any more info? Were you on private land? Have permission? Did you believe the hare was injured?
  9. As you'll know I'm a bit of a book collecter, correction I'm a book addict, although it's mainly lurchers, ferrets and poaching that I collect. I have a few terrier books, but only about a shelf full as I only really collect those that I think are worth having. A few weeks ago I was offered the chance of J. Darcy's new book when it came out - so I secured a copy and it came today. Having been lucky enough to get the limited edition copy I was full of anticipation as I carefully unwrapped it. It makes me extremely sad to admit that there is a real buzz I get when I receive a new book, and t
  10. There are loads of free pdf readers on the net - do a search in google. I found this one which might help http://www.pdf2exe.com/reader.html Crow
  11. Sounds to me like you've got a very generous 50 yarder
  12. Clancy, whilst I admire your decision to rehome a homeless dog quite simply my advice would be not to! Get yourself a pup of 8 weeks old, one that you know the breeding of and start with a clean canvass. I purchased a 6-month old lurcher and the first year was a bit frustrating to say the least. He had so many 'issues' that had I not had another (already working) dog then I may have given up on him! He did come good as they say, but I'd never get an older pup, let alone an adult, again. Rehoming as a pet is totally different in my opinion and I'd consider doing so, but for a working do
  13. Even as a pet a dog that doesn't come back is a pain in the arse - but that doesn't mean you should get rid! Do a search through the threads, there's plenty of threads that spring to mind regarding disobedient dogs. Good luck.
  14. My current stock consists of 8 jills (1 albino, 1 polecat, 1 sandy, 3 silver, 2 black-eyed whites) and 3 hobs (2 silver hobs, 1 black-eyed white). Crow
  15. An hour or so in the field and a healthy bag to show for it - nice one Next time, when she's about 10 yards away turn around and start to take a few of paces away from her. Stop, turn round, drop to one knee and quetly call her in - she'll come! Then give her loads of praise. Do this a few times at the start of the night and she'll soon learn. Good luck. Crow
  16. In my opinion if you can see these little bits of white wool at night then it's probably too light to be long-netting anyway Unless you're using them as stop nets during a spot of moonlit ferreting of course!! Once your bag is tied in it's not imperative that the poles sit at the tie-in points. Tieing the bag in is only to stop it gathering at one end of the lines when your laying it / collecting it in anyway. If you've a 50 yard net then you'll net 11 poles (imo), each set at about 5 yards apart - that's 6 paces for me in the dark Once you've set your net the poles will, in effect, do
  17. Let it work with your other ferret and give it time - it will soon get the hang of it. Whatever you do don't force it down a hole! As for the lead suggestion - there are people on here that clearly haven't got the hang of dealing with ferrets despite being on here for a while. Maybe we should give them some lead to

I hate it when people come on here to gloat Bargain!

    Baskets

To be honest, in my view a basket is a basket, although you'll find several that offer 'technical differences' (now that's an expression to use in a sale pitch ). One of the latest (and one that seems popular) is the one sold by Molecatcher so drop him a PM and he'll let you know all about it. Crow
  20. Handy letter there, but just to make clear: It is NOT a legal requirement to have written permission to hunt rabbits.
  21. F~~k me! Mankind have been trying to prove this one way or the other for thousands of years and you want US to give some evidence.
  22. one of the lost gospels??? It's taken from the film 'Stigmata' (excellent film) which itself took it, in part, from the Gospel of St Thomas. Verse 77 says "Cleave a piece of wood: I am there. Raise up the stone, and ye shall find me there". The rest is, I think, made up for the film. However, it does represent perfectly my views on what God and religion are all about! As for spirualism, that's a different thing entirely!
  23. Have you seen those little miners lamps advertised on ebay? I know a chap who puts them on his hobs to ferret at night. He has illuminous nets too, although one night he was buggered because he left them in a dark drawer and they never 'charged'
  24. Good dogs are hard earned! I'd be very dubious about buying a dog that is described as meeting your requirements Call me cynical but I would think that anyone in a position to get rid of such a dog would have people ready to take it off their hands! Good luck, but beware
