    F**Kin gutted went for a mouch this morning with the dogs and the little bitch I put up a post about acouple of weeks back,with problems about her not coming to my call has diserpeared at 10:00 this morning in the forest near were I live, and I haven't seen her since,Ive just got in Ive been looking for her all day,fetched the kids out of school got the wife out of work to help done everything I can think of,ie,posters/vet/kennels/local council spoken to other dog walkers and give home and mobile numbers kids are cryin wife is upset the pup is only 5 month old what else can I do it will be o

    nice little pup mate atb with him,that Lab looks a good strong dog too Ive kept working labs for 20yrs always had 3 on the go but only got 1 left now,giving the Terriers a go now

    dont let them fight mate,firstly you my want the qaurry,ie bunny for the pot and it wont be worth eating and secondly your top dog dont let um take the piss co's they will if you let them get away with it

    Thanks for all the advice guys. The land I work has all kinds of livestock and also partridge and pheasent pens and the owner has just got 100 turkeys to get ready for Xmas. You are right he wouldn't be happy with the dog among them,I cant fault the dog for the work she is doing, like I said she is coming on a treat but she needs to return to me on command. I have had permission on the land for the best part of 25yrs, me and my brother run the beaters, do a bit of part time keeping and all the vermin control. We also work labs but the reason I asked for advice is because I have never had this

    I have a 5 month old Patt bitch that is hunting really well but when she gets her head down it just wont come back until shes ready or lost the sent,its really winding me up to the point that I could shoot the little ,the thing is she knows she's done wrong because when it eventually returns,you know tail down and looking sheepish. I know its only a pup but I want to stop it before it really get out of hand and I dont want to keep her on the lead all the time. My dog Patt come back to my whistle within a minute or 2 but the bitch 10mins/20mins and all this time Im getting more and more wo

    My Patt dog loves hunting them and is very good at it, he even watches the tree tops,I think he hates them more than he hates rats

    My 5 month old Patt bitch has started bushing really well the trouble is when she's got her nose down she goes deaf,when she's not hunting it come's straight back to my whistle but when its on to something it diserpears for 10mins sometime longer,she will come back but only when its ready,my Patt dog comes back not problem but he is 8 months, do you think the bitch will grow out of this or will I end up shouting and whistling her every time she is on to something,at the moment its a problem because Im worried about losing her because of her age what do you reckon

    I had a JRT that was obsessed with any ball,I got her at 6wks old had all the jabs and started taking her out rabbiting/rating,she killed a few rats bolted a few rabbits,but as soon as we got home she went to look for her ball,walked around with it in her mouth all the time,she is now a year old and and living with my mum still chasing balls and sleeping at the foot of my mums bed it would rather do that then hunt,but if you where to hide her ball she would hunt for hrs till she found it Thats just what she prefers, and that dog was supposedly from working parants just shows you never know w

    I when fishing today and took the pups with me for a bit of company,we had been sat a couple of hrs catching bits and the dogs tried to get every fish I caught Then I hit into a carp and was a while playing it in when I got it to the net the dogs were nowhere to be seen,shouting and whistling them and the never came so getting worried I set off round the lake still shouting anyhow I found them little beggers were digging a rat hole out on the bankside but never got it

    This is no help BOB but my mum's 1yrs old JRT has the exact same problem and our vets dont know what it is,they've done all the same checks If they find a cure I'll let u know what they used
