  1. its very hot weather around here at the moment my Labs are off there food I know for a fact that dogs dont like it to hot,as it been out in the sunshine to long rather than look on the worst side maybe a classic class of heat stroke
  2. Ive got a Patt x JRT,7 months old now and she's great with the kids killing rats nicely now, and starting to make a good guard/house dog also when she's in the van goes mental if anyone comes near it,daft as a brush at home but she changes when its time to work
  3. my bitch is just 7 months old I take her to a local farm everyday where she see's rats,rabbits and livestock,when I first started taking her she was scared of the livestock wasn't intrested in the rats/rabbits that was about 2 months ago. Its very fustrating when you want them to work or do something and they just roll over and piss, but now she's a different dog all together killing rats,hunting rabbits and totally ignore's the livestock and she is the only terrier Ive got so Ive had to start from scratch no dogs to show her the ropes lean't from the lads/lasses on the forum dont rush thi

  5. been out again today with the pup now 7 months old, killing rats and using her nose quit well but if she flushes a rat or rabbit and it goes into Nettles the little wont go in after them,advise please
  6. I would do mate I like to work my dogs but there not just a tool of the trade,there are family pets and my kids love um,but thats just me

  8. my pup has just turned 7 months old and has just started killing rats,I started her off with the live cage it really does the job,that was only last week she has had 4 since then and Ive just got back from the farmyard and she was hunting like a good un and had 2 more. She is coming on real well and Im well pleased with her progress but I have learn't from the guys/gals on this forum is not to rush it,(Good advice)they'll go when there ready good luck with yours ATB Rick

  13. why would someone ring the police,what was the dog doing wrong for someone to ring them,was u just walking it,was it being arrgresive to someone or some other dog or was u using it as ur status dog,I had 2 pits back in the day and never had any hassle [bANNED TEXT] so ever. I cant never understand why someone would ring the police if u or the dog are doing nothing wrong, Im not having a go just I cant just can't get my head round it but I hope it all turns out ok

  20. Was out this morning up the farmyard with my pup and she killed her 1st rat and about 20mins later did another one,messed about with um for a bit throwing then about and she got bit a few times but did the biz,nothing special but I was well happy with her
  21. my 6 month old pup as just come into season, Ive had a few bitch's over the years but never had one come in at this age,is this normal with some bitch's
