the trouble is she is the only terrier Ive got so she has to go it along for now but Im wanting to get another one if I get her goin and the traps are empty

I bought a patt x JRT pup from a guy in the Dalby Forest area I know the name of the village but dont want to put it up on the forum for privacy reasons,I cant remember his name and Ive lost his phone number,but anyhow just wanted to know if he uses this forum as he works terriers.I know its a long shot but I would like to get in touch with him again my pup is now 6 months old so that means I got her mid Nov09 so if u use this forum and think u could be him please pm me and if he doesn't then this post has been a waste of time

I used to have a Border about 10 years ago that hunted rabbits at 1st it was ok but after a while she started to chase them for f##kin miles across fields one day it was gone for 3 hrs that was it could'nt stop it after that the dog had to go

was out this morning with my 5 month old PatxJRT and we came across her 1st rat she was straight in to it not quite full on but she had a go the rat had her a couple of times but it did not stop her,she never killed it but she was more like bite it and jump back,bite it and jump back for about 10 min ish I was very proud of her but what I want to know is is this normal for a 5 month pup or should she have gone straight in for the kill at that age or maybe she needs a few more months on her yet your veiws please

Do any of you guys live in the lincolnshire area,and if so would it be possible to hook up maybe and have a day out with you and your dogs ratting so I can introduce my pup to the game its sound a bit cheeky but if you done ask you dont get I dont mind traveling 50/60 miles

thanks Guys all taken onboard I keep u all up to date on her progress,Im also thinking about getting another one in the next few months,Ive got some good farm building and yards to work them

Am I expecting to much from her yet,I went up a local farm where there is a lot of rats Ive seen some running about but the pup hasn't yet and when I turn over sheets and boards the pup is frightend of the noise so she misses the rat she's not hunting yet is she to young shall I give her more time or shall I get shut I need a working dog not a lap dog advice please
