  1. Lol yeah, f****n brilliant it was, fair play. Took me four or five attempts to read it to my mrs, cos I was laughing that hard each time I tried!! ? ?
  2. There's a fella on this site that has one. Can't think of his name now? Think the dog is about 21" tts, if I remember correctly. Strong looking dog.
  3. Bill was brilliant, most of his posts had me in tears lol. And the one when he was berating katchum, and his leotard wearing, lesbian, transexual, useless flecking ausehole ways, had me doubled up and unable to catch my breath properly for several minutes!! ?. f**k me, that's still probably the funniest thing I've ever read on here lol. Apart from that, he certainly knew his chromasomes from his lipochromes, when it came to breeding canaries and mules.
  4. Getting harder by the year, to find these types now mate. Nice bitch that ?
  5. Nice pup mate. Certainly got conspicuous markings ?
  6. Why don't you find someone that has a fast lurcher x lurcher of around 24" tts, and try to organise the breeding? You could be searching for a long time, looking for an 'exact' type/cross.
  7. Get it to the dentist every 6 months, for a check up ?
  8. And what about the above two sets of data, they are not england or wales, are they falsified figures?

Can definitely see 13 goldies, maybe 1 sparrow and 1 wren?
  12. Sort of like the first wave of myxi in the 50's? Hadn't thought of that until now really. ? ?
  13. ?, just saying what I see around my area, lads. Obviously I don't know EVERY rifleman, same as I don't know EVERY lurcherman. But I know SEVERAL guys with lurchers, that I won't even speak to. They are NOT dogmen, in any way, shape or form.
  14. I totally get you mate. But those older rabbiting/mooching types are out there. They're just harder to find.?
  15. To be honest though mate, I live in an area where there are thousands of sheep. Every farmer within about a 15 mile radius of my home, farm maybe 90% sheep, and 10% cattle. And they suffer a lot with fox trouble. And the rifle lads really do a far better job of controlling the foxes than the lurcher guys. And I have to say, a lot of the rifle fellas attitude towards hunting fox, or just hunting in general, is, as far as I've seen/heard, far better than a lot of the lurcher lads.
  16. Yep, and partly that. But for about the last 15ish years, I see more people getting into lurchers to specifically lamp foxes. At least, around my area. Never hear someone that's recently got into lurchers even mentioning rabbits. Fox, fox, fox, that's it. ?
  17. F@ck that mate, I'm bad enough after 3 guinness' ?
  18. It would seem that collie crosses have indeed dwindled, almost to the point of rarity. But there are still plenty of em about. It's just that the majority of people that own them, don't frequent sites such as this, as often as before. And the fact that lurcherwork, and lurchers, have changed a fair bit, from the old rabbiting, mooching types, to dogs capable of being ran at 'teeth' three or four nights a week on the lamp. And if your dog aint catching 20/30 rabbits per lamping session, it's crap. Strange times mate.
  19. Oh most certainly blacky, it has to be BRINDLE. ??
  20. I was being facetious mate lol. I love greyhounds, and yes, I suppose most of them wouldn't be suitable for most modern lurcherwork these days. But for many people, that aren't as 'driven/competetive' for 'numbers' etc, I think many pure greyhounds would suit a lot of people. ?
  21. If that's what you're thinking mate, go with that. Your dog, your area, land, permission etc. You'll know better than us lot, what will suit you and the conditions you have to work your dog/dogs ? And if you prefer smooth coats to rough/broken, you'll be increasing the chances of having a litter of all smooths. ? And before someone wants to 'stone me to death' over my 'coat' reference, I know coat doesn't really make a difference to a dog's actual working ability, but some people, me included, prefer smooths ?
  22. lol See my recent reply to greb, am still a tad tired! Lol. And yeah, totally agree. ?
  23. Lol I've been walking around in a bit of daze myself lol. Yeah, I realise that mate. But I still just don't have much faith in the government or the scientists.
