  1. You sound like you're in a pretty bad place, mentally. See a doctor about it mate. Don't look into the bottom of a glass. And if you get no real help from a doctor, keep pushing for a specialist, many doctors are just concerned with scribbling on a prescription and sending you through the door. Atb ?
  2. For me, that 2nd round devastating hearns' right hand knockout of duran, is just the best ?
  3. Just finished my boiled eggs with marmite soldiers, after a lazy morning in bed. Feel great now ? ?
  4. ? just dropped a spoonful of my boiled eggs on the floor!! ? ?
  5. Well, assuming your surname is thomas, you're fifth on the list of most common surnames in wales. But well done on switching allegiance to wales ? ? Just to add though tomo, my surname aint even in the top 20 welsh surnames! ? ?
  6. Some great fighters again there darbo. Excellent film too about carter, where washington plays carter. ?
  7. Scotland were the better team throughout the whole game. Well done scotland ?
  8. Settling down now, with a couple of friends, guin and ness, to watch the 1st match. ?
  9. At the moment, that's not really a bad price for a kc reg whippet. Yes, it's steep, but plenty of whippet pups are going for £2500-£3000 right now, mental. My eldest lad just bought a cracking dog pup, five weeks ago, paid £1100 for him.
  10. @darbo Just had a read about harold johnson, didn't know he'd fought archie moore and joe walcott lol. ?. To be honest, watching these old clips and having a bit of a read, is reigniting my interest in boxing, after the piss poor shenanigans of the governing bodies and promoters etc, have turned me away from it, the last couple of years. Also, have you got anything of Henry Armstrong you could put up for us? ? @Greb147 Don't stress mate, not forgetting you lol, was a good idea starting this thread. ?.
  11. Yep, another great boxer/puncher, who I find it quite strange, is hardly ever mentioned when people talk about great boxers. ?
  12. Valero, wild card is a very apt description lol. Mad to think what he could've achieved ?
  13. Thanks for that darbo ?. Recently bought his biography, The Fearless Harry Greb, a couple of weeks ago, so still reading it. Seen a few clips, and read bits and pieces of articles about him over the years, and been meaning to get this book for ages lol. Took delivery of another book I bought yesterday, BERSERK, about Edwin Valero, another of my favourites, so got enough to keep me out of the mrs' way for a while lol. ? Fascinating how greb was the only person to defeat gene tunney, light heavy world title, and dempsey wouldn't fight him, even though he outweighed greb by about
  14. I think that's a good move mate. Just seen born's reply, totally agree ?
  15. Was a fair few down my area of south wales in the late 70's- early 's. Before lamping gained it's foot hold. An old mate of mine bred a litter of russell x whip/grey as well. A couple of those pups went to cardiff, so don't know how they worked out. But the one he kept back was a cracking ferreting/ratting dog.
  16. Yep, considering wales even now, only has a population of just over 3 million, it's had quite a high number of world champions. Did my 'presentation' in college on jimmy wilde lol. ?
  17. Some cracking footage, of some great fighters there darbo ?
  18. Another one of mine lol ? And the track!! Lol Darbo, have you read his autobiography, 'fighting was my business'? Fascinating ?
  19. Greb, you know these threads gravitate in random directions, of their own free will ??
  20. Greb, have you read about john edward kelly? If not, have a read ?
  21. My all time favourite fighter/boxer ?
  22. I personally think most people on here are on the fence really charts. Like me, yesterday I was 65%, today I'm 35%. % of having the vaccine or not, I couldn't tell you!! ?
