  1. I’ve met a few labs in the past An not had much trouble to be honest but saying that these were pet type but I have had problems With pointers,Staffords,Doberman An recently 4 smooth coated bedlington x whippets while giving my big bitch her first walk after being spade these dogs are known for being nasty little c**ts that the owner has no control over An they were off the lead they set eyes on my bitch who was on the lead An thought they fancy there chances my bitch is a really social placid bitch An gets on with everyone An dog but she knows what was going on An what was going to happen t
  2. Good luck mate looks a smart looking dog
  3. I don’t think it really matters to much with f1 bedlington whippets what way round there bred long as there parents are actually genuine good working dogs so many people peddling this cross for pocket money out of shit with a premium price tag it’s un real
  4. I agree with the above it’s the best place to get a cute little whiplington fur baby from and it’ll probably be a horsey person peddling the litter.
  5. same as me mate I keep my hunting activity between me an a couple of trusted lads that I get out An run with ive tryed this nights out bullshit in the past with various lads its always a funny one because if there need for your land runs out or if they fall out with you there quick to spout shit over the inter web about you An the dogs to try An make there self look like a big real hunting man like there the voice of the workering dog world I have no time to be slagging dudes off or there dogs or how it or whos bred it I stay well an truly out that bullshit Im not in to running dogs to massage

  7. These bull greyhound post ain’t half a comical read with grown ass blokes arguing over bloody dogs....
  8. ps a bedlington x greyhound or a well bred collie x does or a mix of both Lurcher to Lurcher does it for me as I favour traditional bred gear for my uses
  9. I suppose it all depends on your uses for the dog And personal preference I’ve tryed small dogs (size of whippet) and they’ve been found wanting by me as there very restrictive on uses there ok for a spot off ferreting an mooching about but on big land the gears are not there a short lamp trip An the dogs burned out but cheap to feed less space for up keep an easy to keep fit were as a big dog is at the opposite end of the scale so my thinking is meet halfway on both as there’s no point in setting your self up for disappointment and restricting your self so 22-23.5tts is bang on for a master o
  10. Good read this thread the bedlington x greyhound to me is a cross I highly rate if the ingredients in the melting pot are the right gear they make good serviceable traditional bred running dogs that are masters of none
  11. Good luck with that mate you haven’t said how old the dog is and weather he’s up to much work wise
  12. your mates not fox dropper is it mate haha it's going to be busy down that way this weekend

  14. Make sure you got plenty of change on you.For lemonade and sandwiches lol. haha hope there's cheese An pickle sandwichs on offer
  15. It's a shame mate.Tip bits is the best way mate that's the way I'm doing it I found in the past it's the best way to get results I found with my self soon as the basic training starts and you start seeing results that's when An we're a bond is created your lad sounds like he's doing good mate keep it up and I'm sure he'll make a good serviceable dog for your needs. Don't forget to keep the updates coming
  16. She's coming on real nice mate with her basic training I've just started to add a little jump for her to retrieve over. Yeah I keep in contact with everyone who had a pup they all seem to be doing ok One of the pups that went to a working home there getting rid of it unfortunately as they're saying there not bonding with him but I think the real reason is they've been doing feck all with it I think there expecting a straight out the crate dog that requires no basic training....
  17. it'll be like a rave down there come the weekend with all the road siders Now we've all been told there's plenty of deer an hares to run hahaAs had been said you won't stop someone who's keen.Which layby you parking in mate lol. definitely mate and fair play to the people who are keen least there getting out An doing a bit. Haha any I can get in mate I've a feeling most of the laybys will be very busy this weekend don't there

  19. I've heard this before from people that pay for shooting rights they get very protective of the land they've had to pay to get on An they want to get there money's worth and try warning people off with all manner of little story's who you kidding fd you'd be shooting the hares any way given the chance same as anything else you see that moves. I know a local guy that sounds the same as you...a John Wayne that thinks he needs to fabricate little story's to warn people off the land he pays for shooting rights this same guy believes dogs are only for rabbits every thing else is for the gun and he
  20. I take it fd as got some permission down the farms by m4 Wiltshire and is scared people are going to take all his runs this season that his dogs could of had that's the only reason for a friendly heads up....
  21. I always found colour feeding in the water a complete nightmare I had far better results in my soft food
  22. this thread is just comical!
  23. I don't go to shows no more I feel there to expensive and to be honest there not all that great the only decent part is the beer tent for the pop but even then you have to listen to dudes getting a bit exited An telling story's of world beater dogs they own whilest there wearing some kind of country side hunting costume. I'd rather spend my money on my dogs tbh
