There mad them net bags from garages biggest rip off going.my stove ain’t the biggest it’s a 5kw flavel stove longest log I can get on mines 12 inches long most logs I got in my load are 8-10inch I’m guessing the farm supply cut them off a marker jig so they can cater for most stove sizes. Bet your make a few quid selling logs across the canal network gotta be worth a punt ??

I bought a load of logs in this year just for ease i was being lazy I payed £150 a trailer load from the local farm supply although they looked after me with the load I got but I’d still rather burn the free stuff in my eyes it burn’s better ?only because it’s free an I’ve become a tight git I hate spending money that I don’t really have to spend any more.

I hear on the radio a lot of energy,fuel and supermarkets boasting of there profits an in the next breath there saying there’s gunna be increases coming for one reason or another it’s all just another way of shafting us the working class. I’ve made a few cut backs I switched the boiler off as I don’t need it no more it’s cheaper to boil a kettle if I need hot water to do the washing up but I’ve always got a kettle on the log burner going. I’ve always been the same dc never really struggled with getting work to be honest many a times jacked on a Friday morning to have something lined up to do by Friday afternoon ready for a start first thing Monday morning that’s what I like about the building type trades once your known as a good lad that likes to earn a few quid an is hardworking there’s always work. Charity starts at home for me I do not donate nothing to these organisations as there a business not a charity. I’ve kept dogs in an out over the years it makes no difference to workability there pros an cons to both one of my only hates was with foxing dogs is having to wash them down thoroughly after a night out or there stink the house out of fox think that’s the last thing you want to be doing after a night out but other than that no problems in or out

heard on the radio this morning we’re officially in a recession. I work in the building trade I’ve heard a few lads saying it’s coming recently. I’ve spoken to one of the contract managers I get on well with he recons we’re be alright till January then it will start to slow down an there only be pulling housing association an sold housing out the ground.

We had a mink farm by us in the 90s activist let the lot go completely decimated the wild life in our area it never has recovered to what it once was there’s still a few mink kicking about but no we’re near as many as there was. Something I’ve found with f1 beddy whippets was they were to slow for me due to there size an the size of land I was trying to lamp with them at the time but as a ferreting dog or mooching about dog there spot on and easy to live with I’ve had a right good laugh with all different % of beddy whippets over the years. My last beddy whippet died out about 4yrs ago. It’s kind of ironic as I never really had a lot to say about beddy whippets bar they were to slow for me the ironic thing is when any of the bigger dogs were banged up or in the sick bay who was always the go to dog……that’s right the b

I personally think raw feed prices have gone mental I used to pretty much fill two chess freezers for £80 of a good mix of raw foods I used to buy in as it was all waist products it was cheap as chips then everyone (the pet market) jumped on the raw feed band wagon an drove the prices up to a extent that shit they couldn’t give a way now cost a premium some of the stuff now it’s cheaper to buy human grade stuff I now longer run big freezers for dog foods I no longer keep multiple dogs so I no longer have to keep a stock of raw I buy just a bit of green tripe now I take a couple of fallen old b
