    cheers mate I really hope she does to ive had a shit run of luck the last year the most recent bit of bad luck I’ve had is the dam to the pup ended her working career out on the lamp she damaged her vertebrae I’ve been advised to retire her to pet I’m not ready happy about it but I’ll be able to put more time in to the pup as I’ve no bitch to run the beam an keep fit so any free time can go to the pup

    i was a bit disheartened about it when it happened as I had convinced my self that the pup I kept out the first litter I was almost certain she was destined to be my world beater the once in a life time type of dog as she just put effort in to every thing she done and ready wanted to please me but it wasn’t meant to be sadly but I figured out you need to be able to take death or serious career ending injuries as it comes with working dogs it’s all a short straws game

    Ive been asked many a time about my greyhound and had to correct them by telling them it’s a fecking Lurcher a greyhound x breed for hunting not a greyhound I often get the look of pure disgust when I mention (hunting) I no longer stop for small talk I keep on walking as I can’t be assed unless it’s a fit bird asking then I might stop just for a laugh but as a rule these days I stop for no day walkers as I call them they have nothing to say that benefits me or my needs so I avoid like the plague

    TBH I don’t think this cross will amount to nothing over being just a band wagon every one tries jumping on An realising there not as good as made out to be over all the hype that will get made out that they are just to sell litters of pups

    I’ve met a few labs in the past An not had much trouble to be honest but saying that these were pet type but I have had problems With pointers,Staffords,Doberman An recently 4 smooth coated bedlington x whippets while giving my big bitch her first walk after being spade these dogs are known for being nasty little c**ts that the owner has no control over An they were off the lead they set eyes on my bitch who was on the lead An thought they fancy there chances my bitch is a really social placid bitch An gets on with everyone An dog but she knows what was going on An what was going to happen t

    I don’t think it really matters to much with f1 bedlington whippets what way round there bred long as there parents are actually genuine good working dogs so many people peddling this cross for pocket money out of shit with a premium price tag it’s un real

    ps a bedlington x greyhound or a well bred collie x does or a mix of both Lurcher to Lurcher does it for me as I favour traditional bred gear for my uses

    I suppose it all depends on your uses for the dog And personal preference I’ve tryed small dogs (size of whippet) and they’ve been found wanting by me as there very restrictive on uses there ok for a spot off ferreting an mooching about but on big land the gears are not there a short lamp trip An the dogs burned out but cheap to feed less space for up keep an easy to keep fit were as a big dog is at the opposite end of the scale so my thinking is meet halfway on both as there’s no point in setting your self up for disappointment and restricting your self so 22-23.5tts is bang on for a master o

    Good read this thread the bedlington x greyhound to me is a cross I highly rate if the ingredients in the melting pot are the right gear they make good serviceable traditional bred running dogs that are masters of none
