try telling the farmers round my way theres a closed season for rabbits am sure the lads that do a bit of rabbiting would not get asked back the only people i see observe a closed season with them are ferreting men to avoid lay ups etc it was not a smart question at all i was serious i do no rabbiting with my terriers what so ever and only do abit of ratting in the summer to stop them being bored i work mine to ground and could not give a monkeys arse what they look like if it went in an earth backwards and bayed out its arse and stayed that will do me when people start looking for a dogs perf

nice looking healthy pups pal,how are what way are you gonna work these pups when there older ie as bushing mooching dogs,or as a quicker type of hound or as lurchers do you see any future problems with the hound blood if useing them as a lurcher, i will be interested to see how these turn out i keep hounds myself they are a modern x fell type with abit of welsh back in the mix and i also have kept bull/wheaten/greys for some time and work them with my hounds in the day but ive never crossed them all the best with them fella regards hedz

Wise words I always said,its not just the dog,its also the owner Take a top-class pup,put it in the hands of a guy with no bottle who doesnt give it many opportunities,its like giving Mr Bean a ferrari,take an average pup,put it in the hands of a guy who doesnt give a f**k where he goes,hunts venues which are saturated with quarry,and the pups going to make a name for itself,its not just the dog,its also the guy,symbiosis OR LASS - why does it have to be a guy???????????????? because dogs are mans best friend

yeah hes still about W pal think he keeps a low profile these days he bought alsorts of dogs in and bred them as quick as they came into season ive never once saw the lad on a shovel to be honest

its all a load of crap its not the size of the tool that counts but how you use it or most definatley horses for courses you can have the gamest lump of a dog in the world if it cant get it simply cant get and smacks of lack of experiance if a terrier man would put a lump in an unsuaitable earth i often wonder whn you see these great lumps all scarred up being paraded round by lads if the dog is a grafter or has just been put to ground in an unsuitable earth and taken far to much uneeded flak due to its size hindering it, ive also dug to a few of these so called if it wants to it will to find

i started of with russels when i was a kid, but ive had the same family of black rough coated fell types now for the last 17 years or patterdales if you like and i only use them for earth work really ive never really been into ratting etc,all different breeds and types have slightly different styles of working and a different attitude to there type of work and quarry but there is no set standard in each breed you cant say right a russel is just a baying type and a lakeland is a hard type because its not so you get some hard russels and you do get some half sensible lakelands knowing a line or

ive seen a couple of steady little workers,there not my type of terrier because there very hit and miss they were a doomed breed when the general public became interested in them the same as the bedlington they were bred for shows etc,we have to remember the terriers of today owe alot of there making up from borders in the days of cyril breay and before the likes of joe bowman etc all used them ,i think its a shame that not enough genuine terrier men dont try and get the breed back to what it was and good luck and all the best to them that are trying with them and are succeding ,it does not ma

they have not backed me up ,what have i said, show me, whats it got do with any one else where i sell pups or what i charge if there not buying,the people on hear say they dont breed off their dogs until they are good and tested (why is there so much rubbish about then) i do know a little bit about dogs. pampering a dog for 5 year then breeding off them dont prove nothing well it seemed to me on previous threads you had a few fans or friends,and i dont know any dog men that would sell pups on epupz most would get laughed at,there is so much rubbish about because fools breed for money a

I think the mistake you made flint was to have long threads disscusing these crosses on here,with other folk from your circle backing up what you had to say, i myself read some of the threads with intrest and respect that you were putting the time and effort into the previous pups, i was a little miffed that you did not give the previous litter more time to prove itself before breeding another litter and was suprised that you had also put them on a site like epupz and that you were selling a full litter without keeping any back yourself,i belive these are some of the factors why people are hav

I knew a lad from melton mowbry way in leicester that had this cross and he had them for a while,he had 3/4 crosses and half cross dogs and i really did rate them they were game as hell and steady as a rock,i saw these dogs perform on alsorts of quarry pre ban as it was a good ten years ago and they did just as good as any other cross ive seen and i would of given any of them kennel space the only thing that perhaps would put folk of with the dogs i saw is they were very hard mouthed,they would retrive but what they brought back was munched but his main pursuit was in larger quarry so it didnt
