  3. I stand corrected then why didnt they just cull them if they knew they were no good what were they used for if they knew they were no good ??
  4. jesus i bet your a joy to live with outside in the day inside at night why because i dont want dogs in the house lol its my preference i dont want them in the house i know quite alot of folk wont have them in the house,a house is for people a kennel is for dogs dont know why you find that strange, would you have foxhounds running round in your kitchen?? especialy when they have just come back from a day out or terriers after a day out and my lurchers are rough coated and get wet and filthy after a day or night out its easier to rub them down with towels and put heating on in the kennels
  5. Useless through no fault of there own as a breed ruined by the show fraternity,i cant even think why anyone would contemplate adding there blood into a working line they have nothing to offer as a breed no more, there future lies in being childrens play partners on a back garden and old peoples companions a shame really i bet it was a great breed once upon a time regards hedz
  6. Outside everytime, i never keep them indoors my house is my place and there kennel is there place they wont even come past the door if there loose on the garden they know there not allowed they will stand at the back door but wont pass the thresh ,ive stood in my kitchen and had 9 hounds stood at the back door waiting for me to make a drink and not one would try it lol
  7. Just being out in the countryside with the dogs and watching them work, and the different surroundings and type of ground and the company of like minded folk nothing better than watching dogs work and having good craic

  12. Ive seen a good few of them owned a couple as well, very bullish strong lumps usualy slow to start and tend to fight quarry instead of use there head and work it find some of them throw quite large due to the bull influence if you get a good one though you have a good terrier quite game and gutsie not my thing but some folk swear by them most of the stuff sold is diluted with other lines usualy nuttall ive found regards hedz
  13. i am a little baffled as to why you would get rid of a dog you had put 2 years effort into training and feeding etc to replace it by a pup that is basicaly bred the same way ie running dog to a straight collie sorry if i sound funny but getting rid of a dog that age simply because you want to make room for a pup doesnt make sense unless the dog has faults good luck rehoming it i hope it doesnt end up on the lurcher merry go round
  14. just been for 20 week scan its a girl wanted a boy so keep a look out in the for sale section lol

  23. LOL............ If a dog doesn't posses stamina, just like speed, no amount of work will improve it that much. Yes, hard work will get a dog to its running weight, fitness levels but hopefully everyone who runs a dog has their dog to this level before the season starts.... Heard it all now.You cant improve a dogs stamina with hard work. of course you can you improve its fitness levels to increase its stamina you cant tell me 2 identical cross dogs say one has done nothing for 3 months and the other has had regular work and exercise the one thats had regular exercise and work is g
