  6. Someone snaring? Fox takes the body and leaves the head, head gets moved on by something - you find head? ive put snares along the fenceline, was a bit late checking them one day and one of the snares was askew, thought rabbit may have managed to slip it somehow, was bit of fur next to snare, hadnt thought of fox taking it, only started useing snares recently!
  7. ok, id like to go down the route of feeding barf, what should i give my dogs to provide them with a balanced diet? should i feed mixer? this is the meat/fish i have at my disposal at moment (cheap or free) *whole chicken carcasses (cull roosters ,some free, 1euro each the rest) *cows tongue (butcher,2euro each) *cow/lambs heart (butcher ,free) *green tripe- whole (via butcher but straight from slaughterhouse not cleaned at my request,1euro each) *fresh fish heads (fishmonger, free) *whole rabbit (wild caught) *lambs liver (4euro for 3-4 whole livers) *kidneys (1euro for 4-5, but
  8. ive a new mystery to add to this topic, found a cleanly decapitated rabbit head on my permission today, few days dead + was starting to smell a bit, dog picked it up + brought it to me of all the delights  anyone have any ideas?
  9. jesus your patt pup is near identical to mine, same patch of white on tip of paw as well, mines docked though!
  10. Why? whippets don't, greyhounds don't (always ) Its all relative mate, Little light dogs only needs little light frames I accept they would only be able to do rabbits. But if there was a decent working strain going id try one Imagine how a tiny dog of that size would be able to turn. Lots of lads on here sport massive bull crosses when all we can legally hunt is rabbits and rats. Sledge hammer and brass tacks spring to mind. Im not knocking anyone its just my opinion. ive booked a pup from the tiniest whippet bitch ive ever seen, it'll be at least a year, maybe 2 before she ha

  16. 400quid for that only worth 100 - 120 150quid for that mongrol terrier!! that fella must have been chasing the dragon if he thinks they are worth anything near that.
  17. http://www.jfc.ie/PentHouseCoop.html saw this on display, thought it would be useful, perhaps for rearing a litter of terrier pups or keeping ferrets, have e-mailed them for a price
  18. for a while ive been thinking about getting a raceing dog, give me something to do in my spare time during summer, ive looked at salukis, courseing greyhounds and whippets, will probably buy one soon! like the look of your lot! atb gem
  19. nah, they could die from blood loss etc then you'd be likely to be banged up for manslaughter, much better to just smash their hands with a hammer
  20. bit on the big side to be robbing it un-noticed, theres more valuable stuff in a farmyard or stables, ie powertools or saddles or certain farmyard equipment etc could name them but dont want to give any would-be thieves any ideas hay + straw aint gonna put much grub on your table.
  21. a neighbour of ours has a litter of ikc reg whippets, sooty sam + laguna feature in the pedigree, microchipped, vacc etc, she only has 2 pups left, 2 bitches, im interested in one of them, she doesnt work her bitch but it apparantly came from top racing parents! the sire to the litter is apparently a racing whippet, what should i look for in this pup (for whippet racing + showing + maybe working) she wants 200 for the pup, lowest i could get her to do it for, is this a fair price?
  22. yes but not in any quantity that would harm a human in ordinary circumstances!
  23. http://www.irishfowl.com/poultry-sickness.php see if this is any help!!
