  2. good write up, have to admit id be as bad as taz for drooling over quarry... brought my mam an orphaned goat kid to rear 2yrs ago that had been left behind by shooters
  3. i told him to put the dog over a good bitch then sell him.. i would do the same, maybe put the dog over a related good bitch to improve my chances
  4. didnt know that could be done! brilliant idea though! support our own.
  5. thanks for the reply how would i go about preparing seaweed and is it a certain type im looking for or is it all safe to eat http://www.countrylovers.co.uk/wfs/wfsseaweed.htm also, dont think theres much about at moment but nettles are lovely boiled, im thinking of frying them in butter as well, tastes like something between spinach and cabbage
  6. had it happen once with a bitch 4mths after whelping, to say it caught me off guard is an understatement! edited to add; didnt breed her, wouldnt breed a litter that close to the last one, not unless i had a very very good reason for it.
  7. if your up for visiting the seaside this weather theres mussels and edible seaweed a plenty on many beaches
  8. no i posted this for one of my mates hes looking to buy but he wasent shure what sort of price there going for iv herd that not many go up for sale cause people tend to hang on to them and pass them down the faimly anywhere up to 50euro around here, price things up and then go to some of the larger car boot sales, might strike lucky! i picked up this solid cast iron pan for 6euro last year;
  9. dont know, but if your selling in working order, im buying

  12. gonna hijack this thread to post couple of pics of my own breed farm collies; sky, my current bitch, just started training and hopefully will come up to trial standard so she can be registered on merit (apologys for picture quality) and skys dam holly (RIP)

  15. stunning dogs, they would be hard work... but worth it to whoever puts the time in with them, the way feed bills are these days it might be hard enough to rehome them
  16. i keep my 2 fell terriers together, a dog and a bitch, tried to split them but they are devoted to each other and go off their food, the bitch is boss and the dog accepts that. i know im taking a risk by keeping them together, i work them seperately, i feed them seperately, they have a 1/4 of an acre dog run. and 2 kennels in it. they spent all their time together like a little old couple.
  17. just keep him warm and in a quiet enviroment, sounds like hes in shock, he'll come round soon enough, keep an eye on his wound that it doesnt become infected, wet food perhaps as his face will be sore for a few days, when it starts to heal it will get itchy as well so some vaseline to soothe it will help as well
  18. i always have a dash of sloe gin in my glass of sloe gin
