  4. what is your opinion on if someone reared a spare pup in their litter to a young adult, with a view to perhaps selling it once it had started working?
  5. out of my litter there is 1 surplus pup, im keeping 2 of his siblings, 2 have gone already, 1 is reserved (not a penny changing hands here) tbh i havent decided what to do with the pup, might sell him, might keep him, might gift him if the right person knocks at the door its a hard decision to make?
  6. would keeping a pen of pheasants amongst the poultry/sheep provide a loophole in the law? or do you have to be a licensed shoot?

  11. If you ever find yourself in Fife and in a little mining village called Bowhill......then go into any pub and tell that story.....you'll be pished without putting your hand in your pocket........ I don't doubt that for a second. Life sometimes presents you with these opportunities and having thatcher consume my DNA wasn't one I was prepared to miss out on. just gutted that i didnt have time/right temperature soup to get my cock out and give it a good stir  ill dance a f*****g jig the day they stick that old cow in the ground.wicked old bitch she was. is that all

  13. *Elkaliers* Elkhound and Calavier Cross . Beautiful pups, playful and friendly, ideal child's pet males and females wormed and injected parents can be seen. this breed was bred before and a great response was got. call or text for more details 200euro
  14. id call those jrt's if they were over here!
  15. Could be any one of hundreds of things, from kennel cough, to poisoning, vet would be an idea if unsure. also keep the dogs fluid intake up, pinch the skin to see if the dog is dehydrated, i always keep a sachet of live-aid in the house for sick dogs that are vomiting or have diarroea also take the dogs temperature. if it gets any worse the vet will probably give the dog an anti-inflammatory injection
  16. its all down to the marbling of the meat, its where a lot of the flavour comes from, if i was rearing a bullock for my own freezer it would be angus or hereford. with belgiun blues they are so highly rated because of their double muscling... it makes them highly desirable for breeding with freisan cows to produce a decent size carcass for the factory

  18. give him a fox tail to rag, bring him out and about in the car so he gets used to travelling, socialise the pup, lead train it, bring him for walks out in the country to get him used to the sights and sounds and smells of the countryside, stock break him to cattle/sheep/pigs/fowl (i have a patt here whos mad to kill my pigs and fowl and ferrets, does my head in) thats just for starters
  19. i never thought it possible to snare squirrel, the thought just hadent occured to me, heard the old fella who runs the gun club on about shooting squirrels somewhere local, i'll have to find out where they are as i would love to try squirrel in a satay sauce
  20. i thought there was something wrong with me that i dont really like pups until theyve grown up a bit, i only really start to like a pup when its 6mths + Nope. Maybe we should start a club I only see pups as a way to almost guarantee that the dog is unspoilt and a means to an end to getting a properly trained adult dog. I broke my own rule by getting a year old saluki x and he has a few minor issues. Would never rehome him unless I had absolutely no choice and he does his job well but if I could go back in time I wouldn't buy him again. the problem is it takes a lot more time
