Cut a couple from a fallen oak today actually. One is a chunky fork, with plenty of room for shaping, but its already symmetrical. And the other is a more slender fork that juts forward, more suited to the side shooting flick..(My favourite) Growing at the top of the tree when growing, they seem pretty dry, but is there a safe way to force dry? Ive peeled one but left it long incase it splits at the ends when drying. I got them in the airing cupboard at the moment.
