    Honest it is portable !! the softbox part just folds down like an umberella and the stand too, and the flash is just the same as the one that goes on top of the camera, it all folds down to about a 3ft long 4in x 4in box !!!

    [ Very nice mate,can you show us your set up please. sure can Martin, its a very modest set up Hannah its not really studio lighting as such its totally portable so that if you want to take it outside on location you can anyway here's a few pics of my setup and kit clip on image to make bigger

    It could be just the contacts on the back of the lens, just get a bit white spirit and just give them a little rub, if that fail's then its more likely to be an issue with your lens than the camera body, a good way to test it is to borrow a lens off somone, if it still does the same you know its the body, if you don't know anyone that has a lens take your camera into Curry's or somewhere like that and ask them if you can test a lens on your body

    I know a couple of people have shot me down with my suggestion, but you really are getting as close as you can get to a DSLR quality wise , without the size and bulk with the Canon G12, go into Curry's and try one out you'll be impressed
