  1. It's a Chinchilla colony breeding cage, they connect together, the females in each cage wear a collar to to stop them getting out into the other cages, the male without a collar can visit the females at will via the corridor. The box in the corner is a hay rack.
  2. Nice little ferret mate, but not a greyhound.
  3. Breeding good pups is a lottery, say you have a quality bitch and you out cross, you keep a bitch pup and out cross again, you could end up with very few of the original bitch's genes. If you line breed with quality stock you will have far more of the original bitches genes , giving you a far greater chance of winning that lottery.
  4. Difference is they are inbred for looks rather than performance.
  5. North face chilcats, very impressed , can walk all day in 'em, very good grip, warm and waterproof .
  6. That's brilliant Mate, you want to get some bait out, see if you can get a pic.
  7. You could end up with nothing more than a greyhound then.

  11. No............even the best gundogs need a command(usually whistle) to stop them so you can direct them from there. Although that's usually the case it's not strictly true, the whistle is used to stop the dog so it looks at you, if the dog is coming towards you or glances back it can be stopped with a hand signal. Obviously hand signals can only work if the dog can see them.
  12. would you say your dogs are well trained and are you a good trainer, ur only bullshitting yoursel if you dont answer the question truthfully would you say your dogs are well trained and are you a good trainer, ur only bullshitting yoursel if you dont answer the question truthfully I only run a gsp under Harris hawks at present , trained to voice whistle and hand signals, trained plenty of gun dogs in the past as well as lurchers, trained a bedlington/greyhound to lamp to heel, not chase till told and even watch other dogs run whilst off the lead. I could stop him even behind a
  13. It's easy to train a dog to hand signals.
  14. I would work on the front site with the rear adjustment in the middle of its travel to get the zero at the range you require, once you've done that, you've got rear site adjustment for longer or shorter ranges.
  15. sound advice, i would have wrote exactly the same myself Just like to add if he gets sick of it ,you've over done it , always stop with him wanting more.
  16. and who told you adrenal starts on the feet. i take it the ferret is entire, if this is the case then even less chance of being adrenal disease, id say check him all over and see if you can see any mites but if he is entire it could be that (a) he is shaking the mesh (B just hormones (c alopecia that can occur due to being stessed out stuck in a cage while wanting to breed. (d) mites and mind they can be that small only a scalpol test by the vet will give an answer. i would say it be more likley to be A or B Were you born a f*****g twat or did you get lessons ! Signs that a ferret
  17. Could be the early signs of adrenal gland disease.
  18. A bird of prey will work with any colour ferret it is used to. It's just a matter of giving the bird enough exposure and keeping it on the fist 'till it realizes the ferret is an ally .
  19. That 'll work ! provided the terrier is absolutely useless, if the terrier is any good it'll make it want the ferret even more !
  20. Everything thing that's been said about Gulls can be said about corvids, rats and others including free range chickens, given the opportunity. Rats were commonly fed to ratting ferrets in the belief it would give them immunity from rat bites, ferrets can cope with most things so long as it's fresh.
  21. Not if you make a big fuss of her first, she will associate dumping with the fuss not the kennel, give her a minute before you but her back. Mike
