  1. Harris hawk's not bad, if you like variety.
  2. If it's in a plantaion most probably a longeared. Shorteareds nest out on the moor. Take the gun......get a closer look at they ears.................. joke........ Yeh, might even be funny if it didn't happen on a regular basis.
  3. Truth of the matter is, most folks don't know what they've got once it's lurcher to lurcher for a few generations, gets so complicated, it's like Chinese whispers.Look at the parents and take it from there. Once you start multiple crossing there is know way of knowing what percentage of what is in there anyway. Just look at pics of the same crosses on here, they're like chalk and cheese. You pay your money and take a chance.
  4. I would separate them , Iv'e seen it done successfully but my theory is that, in amongst all that competition, the smaller jill kits will find it the hardest to survive. I prefer to mate them at the same time and separate them, then if the litters are unbalanced in number, I will even them out by fostering.
  5. he will dfinatly do what i require of him,but i dont want to take him on and have him laid up most of the time with knocked up feet. I dont have any pics but the dog is a spit of the one rocky1 has for sale, like i said, the only thing he has against him is flat feet, but if i can sort this i will take him on  If your happy with the flat feet mate, buy the dog, but don't buy it on the basis of correcting it's feet. Road work will improve any dogs feet, but not to any great degree. A dog with very flat feet will always have flat feet.
  6. You wont know I've touched it mate, you'll just find it lying in the road come morning.
  7. The length for a non locking pocket knife is under 3 inches, anything else is illegal unless you can prove a valid reason, hunting is only a valid reason if your on permission. Even if you are on your way to your permission and you stop at the shop it's illegal to have it with you in the shop.
  8. Buzzards can hover, seen it quite few times, same technique as the kestrel .
  9. [bANNED TEXT] the f**k would you know about a dog romany52 nowt so get back to bed with your mam With only 51 years in the game mate ,f**k all. And my mam is long dead, so f**k you !
  10. I'm not moaning about 2 birds mate am i...... Its some folks f*****g attitude to kill all they see, run them over when you can and poaching large numbers that gets my back up. Your about as bad as the other guy on the falconry bit i was 'debating' with........he said the same "Just put more birds down"...........FFS.....they cost a fortune to buy, then to keep them well fed and your time added and thats the f*****g answer......"Just put more down!!!".........aaaaaarrrrrrgggghhhhhh Its all about respect and it shows on here that some folk have none............the same folk will be crying la
  11. Just listen to the voice on this old guy. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Xedgsu6SkGU
  12. I play the whistle, and been playing 5 string banjo for last 3 months so I like this.
  13. Sometimes old clothes you've been wearing keeps 'em quiet.
  14. There is no way of telling if it's a good cross or not , because of the way genes work in cross breeding. You could end up with nothing more than a whippet/greyhound. My advice with this litter, is to look for a pup showing some signs of deerhound or collie, or both, in the pup of your choice. Good luck.
  15. I've known a few shoots let the hawking lads on after the season's ended, for the sole reason of clearing up any remaining birds, they don't want any over the summer attracting vermin. So a couple of cock birds is hardly the crime of the century. I know some shooters that would have a dicky fit about birds being taken out of season, but I also know the same shooters have taken out Buzzards. There is a lot of hypocrisy all round if you ask me.
  16. you are talking a loadda shite f*****g sure it matters What ever mate, you carry on regardless.
  17. Makes no difference physically, first cross either way is 50% genes from either parent. The only difference might be in temperament, as one way they are reared by a bull, the other by a grey, a certain amount of the temperament is learned from the parent.

  22. In hares: Myxomatosis infection is mild and rare. Wild hares rarely exhibit clinical signs although they do have a limited serological response that indicates infection. (B284.10.w10, B600.16.w16)
  23. :wankerzo4: :wankerzo4: :wankerzo4: I read something years ago about research on mixi where they injected various animals with it. The only animals they managed to infect other than rabbits were a small percentage of the hares in the experiment. I THINK I CAN SMELL SHITE . 19. Mr. Hurd asked the Minister of Agriculture whether the cases of hares dying of myxomatosis in Britain have been investigated and confirmed by his Department. § 20. Major Anstruther-Gray asked the Minister of Agriculture whether his attention has been drawn to the case of a
