    the other time that sticks in my mind was with the best lurcher i have ever owned by far bella a little 23 inch powerhouse who only had one gear flat out lol she caught a load of rabbits a big fallow and a charlie .this was in about 2003 so pre ban of course .i have had much bigger bags but not of the quality of riunning on this particalar day she caught all this in just under 2 hours and was like a magnet on whatever she ran .its days and nights like this that make it all worthwhile and stick in your mind forever .they certainly help you forget the poxy times when nothing seems to go right an

    As long as all the top men are interviewed in depth the book would be great, breedings of dogs, diet, conditioning methods, opinions of different crosses etc 3/4 greyhound x saluki v 1/2saluki x 1/2 greyhound. As long as the writer does some thorough research it will be top notch. It would also be helpful if the author tells us what breeding the dog is under each picture agree with you on above because if it is going to be done it needs a lot of research in to it hope its of the same quality and feel as the last two were/are

    heard good things about clondulane show and beleive its going to be bigger again this year.

    a real top notch coursing book of good quality is long overdue and imo jd would be the bloke to get it done. and regarding his last two books ,as a book lover and collector of anything running dog imo they were both very good value for money which has been proved by how much they are fetching second hand and on flea bay .kept in good condition nearly all running dog books are a good investment .in todays climate .

    whin the post wasnt about how much game is caught it was about the best day or night s pleasure you have had with one of your dogs it doesnt have to be huge bags to be the best time . could be on a stroll with your mutts , racing ,showing, or a brillian trun and quarry got away . sometimes on here people can be a bit paranoid to say the least and if its pre ban it was legal or most of it was .

    What why is Leia breed???? Whippet x Greyhound out of Miss Tori owned by Rose Mc Coy in Ireland,... the only pup from the litter to come over the water, and a pleasure to own, (I love the bloody bones of the girl).. You can just about see the scar on the inside of her front leg that nearly ended her racing carrier after getting an infection from a cat bite, she was also bitten by an adder , but survived that thank god...the poor girls not had it easy but she's always given her best, and for that i love her. and that is one very smart running dog fair play

    got 2 really and cant choose one is on the fens with my deerhound greyhound and a load of us out and a freind of mine a well known lurcherman said never seen a deerhound cross worth a cup of cold piss . first run bitch coursing it and hare went over dyke was just coming up other side when bitch had reached edge of dyke she went flat out over dyke landed other side and picked hare up as she landed in one motion and retrieved it back to hand ran another 2 later and caught and retreived them both to hand my mate had the proverbial taken out of him all day with people saying get ready to drink joh

    hy stig i think it was first early sixties the names are engraved round the base and it stands about 18 ins approx why do you know the cup .

    i have for sale a old coursing cup quite large and very good quality it has large grab handles on the side and a hare sat upright on the top which comes off the top that is not the hare.it is engraved the charlie fox yeovil and sherbourne coursing club and has the winners names engraved for every season.it is very good quality and i have been told quite collectable i am asking £150 no offers or swaps this is a really nice cup.pm or tel 07779330113 cheers.

    used to have this for years best working dog mag ever but over the years not so good imo and it is only a opinion . i used to write a few articles in there and really looked foreward to it dropping through my letterbox every month.ime more running dog than terrier enthusiast and found the lurcher side was getting less and less. i would be interested to know has the running dog side picked back up in there. but as i said edrd is the best working dog mag for the working man/woman thats ever been brought out imho. edrd mag :thumbs: :thumbs: :thumbs: :thumbs:

    give the bloke fair play he aint exactly asking the crown jewels for it and its breeding is top drawer.try buying a well bred coursing pup for less than he is asking .and i bet most giving him the shit have no interest in buying it with or without a trial .

    i dont wash their feet after walking other than when the roads are salted but do wash them every time when out coursing .pre ban of course find salt and bit of discinfectant ok but usually use ibby scrub find this very good for cleaning their feet.
