always done it with the greyhounds and do it now with the lurchers i use green oils same as curaco but also keep a tub of trainers choice in stock this is real top stuff if your dog as a niggle or muscle tear also manipulate them and stretch all over they love it after a while .

agree with you for the coursing but for everything else the greyhound for me .

i got 2 books here for sale amongst a load ime selling beagles and beagling and master of hounds .plus a load of other dog and country books .

bought a kona explosive cross country in 1998 brand new at just under 2k lifetime gaurantee on the frame and still going strong . rode it everywhere and on some rough as it comes terrain and never let me down my nephew still got it real top bike.

i think saying you dont need the greyhound is doing this great breed of running dog a grave injustice yes for hares the saluki every time i keep three of this cross myself but imo for anything else the greyhound blood will be there a lot quicker with more fire and drive to catch it s quarry .

ive got 3 saluki crosses and 2 of them gates, fences, hedges dont make any differance at all to them .its how their brought up and run as youngsters around those sort of things.in fairness the other one fences and gates mean end of course for her .but ok round ditches hedges and dykes. -

mine and my sons were running ok but my bitch had a bad accident nearly over it now 8 weeks later and just under 1k at the vets . :cray:

caspa dont know about good examples but if you go back a few months theres a few of my litter i bred on here somewhere but i dont know how to transfer them to this post if anyone can please do cheers they were on saluki x greyhound post i think .thanks again if you can do it .

biggest ive ever seen was up on the fens it was huge when it first got up i genuingly thought it was a young deer from a distance .the chap organising the day smiled when it was slipped on and said watch this make fool of the dog and it did big time. apparently it was run with dogs regulatr and never looked like getting caught . mind you it was always given big law .

cant see the problem if someone puts a price on somethimng anfd you think its to expensive dont buy simple really at the end of the day its up to the seller how he values whats for sale .

if reared from a pup as a lurcher it would be a differant kettle of fish but majority of ex track dogs will be a liabilaty to use as a lurcher but have seen it done in fact had one myself 40 year ago but not very succesfully if the truth be told .

hy caspa no effects at all i had her on the human female pill to stop her coming in and she ran really well on it and after the course to bring her into season which i had to jab her every day for a week she had and reared 10 puppies with no problems or trouble .
