elisderyn its got nothing to do with lurcher world or any other lurcher clubs its bein run by a hard working group of people for a very worthy cause with all profit going to the horse and pony charity and it is also very well ran and organised why not come along and see for yourself .you will see the good work these people do year after year and some of their rescues are real horror syories .

has anyone out there had any experience with this cross personally never seen one in all the years ive had dogs a keeper freind of mine has just had a litter of ten out of his pedigree deerhound bitch which he does work and his coursing pedigree whippet who he also works , i would imagine these would make a fair tool in the right hands . i have seen one on lynperry whippets site but beleive that is deerhound greyhound cross with a whippet it looks a very smart animal all the same .. have any members ever owned or seen a genuine first cross . or got any photos of any cheers .

monmouth ,horse and pony rescue show on the 20th may. speed jumping all day and racing after the show not the easiest to find without sat nav but will be well signposted .there are loads of lurcher terrier and family dog classes as well as the speed jumping and racing to suit everyone .

as well as the normal lurcher classes there is now bull cross and bedlington cross classes added. hot and cold food and other attractions on the day .

the postcode for the show is np255qf be a cracking show plenty of classes plus lurcher and terrier plus whippet racing and speed jumping competition ,look foreward to seeing you there. and all in a very good cause .when you sere the before and after pictures there of rescues they have done you will not beleive the cruelty out there .

have a look at toyota picnic had mine 2 yrs 150,0000miles and still like a swiss watch 2.2 deisel and 7 full size seats plus will not be beaten on fuel consumption by any thing similar .been up and down fens twice a week in winter for 2 years approx 400 mile round trip,each time and really comfortable with it.

if they were coursing this time of year their proper dicks but tbh didnt see anyone coursing might have been just walking excercising the dogs unless you know differant .

my son in law advertised his 2 dogs for sale which sold straight away had tel call tonight asking about them ,when told they were both sold bloke on phone asks does he know certain well known dog men because their dogs are crap and the 2 he just sold were also crap .my son in law says fair enough mate and puts phone down,on caller. 10 mins later phone goes again same caller says i only wanted your postcode mate so i could steal your 2 dogs .people like this are a complete waste of good air ,and shouldnt be alive .

i would say most of wales cannot speak welsh ,my 7 yr old grandaughter goes to a welsh school and is pretty fluant in it . do try sometimes but hard language to learn .especially if your dull like me .lol.

why do bull crosses have there own class at shows?????

one thing i would mention is when i judge a bull cross class or a beddie class i always try to make the winnners line up resemble what they are supposed to be representing ,ie a typical bull or beddie cross and not something that has a bit of the cross in it but about nine generations back and have no similarity to what cross they are being judged as . -

imo having a bullx class is no differant to having any other classs rough ,smooth ,over ,under saluki type sighthound class . it all brings the pounds in which the smaller shows and charity shows certainly need -
to all the moaners out there try running and organising a show yourself you wouldnt beso quick to critisise then i bet. organisers do a great job and thousands of people enjoy their days out every summer at the shows and gamefairs so they got to be doing something right otherwise people wouldnt pay to go .
