It's still a f****d up place mate. Crazy shit, like the kids from different 'races' are educated separately, hows that meant to bring folk together. And lots, lots more. But still probably my fave place in the world and somewhere i could go with nothing and first place i went, find a meal, a drink and a place to stay, just because they are like that. Edited to add - mind you i DO, have some rather interesting friends there.

2007/8 mate, the main streets are pretty glitzy and all patched up and its very western in parts of the capitol, but go beyond the main drag and it's still f****d, its been getting better tho. The red spoldge is a 'Sarajevo rose' which is where they fill the shell blasts with red paint for remembrance. Been going there a lot since quite soon after the war and its a f*****g crazy and amazing place. sad tho.
