  1. Mine just have deep wooden boxes filled with straw.
  2. Farleys rusks, and a 2 handled plastic milk bottle Haha. . . . But seriously they are awesome. Bib and brace, good wellies, lots of thermals and a ridge line smock, with a beanie and buff. . . . and thick waterproof gloves. You can pretty much just see my eyes. . . . and sometimes I whack skiing googles over them to. As you can tell. . . . i'm fed up of getting wet!
  3. That it! I am now officially a 'gentleman farmer'. . . . . . Sounds a bit like a pimp for blokes?
  4. Mines just for a bit of ratting mate, and some beating.
  5. A kelpie or Kelpie x collie mate.
  6. Aye to true. Was whizzing about on the quad the other day, five dogs on it and me. . . . . must have looked fecking funny! Mind, 3 or 4 of those dogs never get 'walked' as they are working seven days a week.
  7. Yes Freezers are full here and a couple of lucky folk have had whole lambs for dog tucker. Got a couple of good sized fallow chopped up and froze, few roe carcasses and a couple of ewes. Got two lambs to shoot tomorrow, one pretty scraggy, but one worth skinning out. Lambing time should give us a good haul, need some more freezers. Oh and dog number eight is on its way!
  8. You can just see her legs lol. . . . its a handy set up, always got to have a dog at all times! And the boss doesn't mind me taking a runner round at work all day just in case!
  9. Last couple of days she's suddenly got a bit of leg under her. . . . . she won't be that short I don't think. Doesn't need to be the fastest dog, just fast enough Anything that out runs her, isn't out running Bree anyway. . . . and anything Bree might struggle to hold on to. . . . . only has a few seconds to get away before the lump arrives. . . . Them squirrels better watch out!
  10. She's the friendliest little tyke. And bold as hell.. . . already you can see her stubborn nature and lack of desire to give up. She is also totally obsessed with me, being with me 24/7. Will be interesting to see how she grows, I've no expectations, just enjoying having a pup about.
  11. I'm not entirely sure how many write ups there will be But aye I know what you mean. Dog number seven. . . . . . its like battersea fecking dogs home.
  12. Yup. Some of you may remember the white speckle faced bitch front right. . . . head like a brick. . . . . . Well, the one I picked, had to be PTS. . . . and then someone let him down on the little white lump that most certainly wasn't going to suit me And so it goes. . . .
  13. Indeed, greek goddess of War. . . . And yes a lump of bull. Some of you might remember seeing her somewhere before. . . . . Have a guess?
  14. You can use any of my ground back in wales mate. Not huge number of bunny these but a few.
  15. Probably someone who messes you about would be an accurate description, i.e over pups, or someone who isn't serious about their sport, they are just messing about with it for a while.
  16. This is why there is a PM function on public forums???
  17. fair comment about the idiot dog lads in the game, that last line does sum a lot of them up, i bet if there hadn't been this ban, and all the coursing clubs in the uk, were still going strong, then they would have been pleased to take these surplus hares, since the ban no one is interested in the welfare of the hare. That's a very fair comment mate. My boss is very interested in the welfare of the Hare. . . . . unfortunately a lot of those around here who see them as sport, don't really give two hoots about their welfare either!
  18. I now live somewhere with a shit ton of hares, wall to wall, tripping over them. Some of these hare shoots are needed to keep the population healthy. I would never have condoned it until I saw it. Also people get fecked off with poachers, we had 4 fences driven over / through (posts snapped, wire ripped up etc), crops driven over and lots of stock out night before last . . . . .
  19. Not sure if its been said but id always recommend a trip to the bone man at the end of the season!
  20. What didn't help was retards from other places, coming down, group of lads, big 4X4 or van, parking near houses etc, all getting out cammo'd up, carrying knives on their belt and with big dogs, and not having a fecking clue what they were doing or where they were! I'm sure all of the threads on here with idiots saying 'xxxx is a great spot for seeing boar" didn't help.
  21. Yes the rangers are now 'on it' due to some foolishness. . . . Not my problem as I don't live there anymore.
