Aye. . . . and better. There are worse things to feed a dog that carrot cake. . . . . but i doubt it'd be great for it You are bang on about the tumors though, and they do seem to grow real quick in ferrets. I also wonder if, with it being a kit, it could be a blockage of some kind? Just grasping at straws.

Its too hot to do shit. . . . i'm . . . . . melting!

oh right, yeah before she got onto chasing horses she'd be focus on the rabbits, horse fields were full of myxi ones so she'd go right past a horse to pick it up. then rabbits disappeared for a bit and horses started running about, and she changed her game! if a cow gets cross at her she just runs off a bit and leaves them be pretty sure she's a whip/grey/collie mix lol I'd agree. . . . there is definataly whippet and or greyhound in her Can be really hard to judge, you could well be right with collie. But also I have a friend with a grey/whippet/beddy/bull hybrid that looks

We pretty systematically work through our permissions, but at the start of the season, often bounce around various permissions in a day early season, doing the bits we can get to, but for the main bulk, we rotate through them all in turn, trying to clear the place pretty much. Some places we only ferret each big sett or hedge etc once a year.

Fairplay, you have some great photos of your lad, plenty of memories for him to look back on, and you of course. I love the one of him with the ferret strapped to his front, and the one of him drinking his tea. He's a bonny wee lad for sure, a credit to you, bringing him up right

Jai - what I'd give for that to be my biggest worry mate......................... Fairpoint Colin. I meant my biggest rabbit related worry. . . . .

Nature abhors a vacuum. . . . last summer was so wet they did not breed at all. This summer. . . . at least of late, they appear to be trying to make up for it. My biggest worry now is that the large population will lead to an outbreak of mixy before september. Went for a quick hour door knocking yesterday, managed five 'yes's' and two 'we'll check and call you back'. . . . all at places showing a good head of rabbits. . . . so fingers crossed. . . . .

my Nancy would disagree, she's quite fond of our cows Which is fantastic. . . . . until you meet a herd of young, angry bullocks Just me, lamping etc around flighty cows is a pain in the arse. I'm not talking about the dog chasing the cows, rather the cows chasing the dog . . . . . or me

Dogs looking well. Horses are fecking lethal, cows are worse. Doesn't take much for you to have a dead dog on your hands. I try to stay well clear. . . . and hate ferreting, lamping etc around them. Sometimes it's unavoidable as some of my permissions are horse paddocks etc. Some are chilled enough, some are just b*****ds.

You can write what you like mate. . . . . it's a free country. But you will learn in time that this country really isn't that big. . . . . . and if you find a game rich area, you are best off keeping it to your

What we use. . . . that we find really successful. . . . is lengths of drain pipe, angled into the water, with one end sitting just above the water line. The pipe has a spring / spiral (like the pheasant hoppers) in the end by the water, and we fill them up with wheat. . . . and they tap them quite happily and the wheat falls into the water (in the shallows). Works well and seems to reduce waste.
