  1. Close . . . . . She is a mongrel hound. Having found out the breeding back as far as her great grand sire / dam on both sides. . . . she is mainly Beagle and Teckle, with a very small splash of cocker and terrier, way back. Darbo - When I got her I was really worried that she would be a nightmare to train etc. But to be honest she has been a dream, a lot easier than the whippet being fair. Her recall is good, she retrieves a bit, sits, stays etc. Rides on the back of the quad. I can shoot over her, and she will hunt off like a hound if out without the gun. Flushes well for the other
  2. Of those two things - the first is pretty shit, and the second near essential
  3. Yer, he has a way to go yet mate, not even six months. But so far, he's showing promise.
  4. No mate, that's just a shit photo. Just noticed that now!
  5. That's not my feet. . . . . that's my old man. . . . . that's God.
  6. Not the greatest photo - taken today, so he's not really running fit, and injured his foot yesterday, so is looking like a miserable bugger! Out of interest, what does your friend want to put a whippet over?
  7. Thought i'd take a couple of photos of the gang, while the sun was out and we were chilling in the garden. The photos of Finn are pretty crap, as he had a wee mishap last night and is a bit three legged today, so wasn't happy being the centre of attention haha.
  8. Fairplay mate. . . . that's a work of art.
  9. What do you want to know? Stick up what info you need and i'm sure you will get it!
  10. Aye the young bitch is a cracker. I'm game anytime mate, Finn is out of action at the moment though, he took a knock to one leg, and then got a big black thorn right through his foot on same leg. . . . painful! Went in through the bottom and was sticking out the top, luckily it was mostly the webbing, not the pad itself.
  11. If all of the above were no option, I think we would all have grand, brick built, super kennels lol.
  12. I agree Paddy, they are like a bunch of fooking kids, and ruin most threads.

  13. Aye. . . . but plummer reckoned a few things . . . . . wasn't he the one that said put sticks in your trouser legs so if a badger bites you it'll let go when it hears the sticks snap? or am I thinking of someone else? I'm not sure mate. . . . . but I wouldnt be suprised!
  14. When this weather cools off a little, we'll have to take duke, xena, hilda and gwen etc up to the quarry, and see what we can find.
  15. Watching that fast bitch run, she is REAL fast, and I think will be a classy bitch in time. But thinking of her running across the rocks, like that. . . . I don't think she'd last too long. Horses for courses though. . . . . . your right, the mental attributes are there, just I think Ow's Duke has the build of a dog suited to working the hill more so than lil miss.
  16. Aye the line seems to throw two distinct types now. . . . and the one of limited use to the man who bred the line. But ideal for the lamping game. Your pup ow, looks like he was designed with the job you need him for. He really is a cracking, strong dog.
  17. Haha, real men wear vests :-p how's big dog now?
  18. I got a Cambridge set up, separates with some custom built speakers. Once upon a time I was heavily into electronic music production etc. they are pretty good for the money.
  19. That's the great thing about the 'digital age', the kids of today who are brought up in the hunting way, will have lots of visual memories to look back on.
  20. ..........I was joking . . . . Depends where it is etc. Mostly hedge it. Or bury it. Sometimes a mate skins them out, tans the skin and buries the carcass.
  21. Love that first photo mate. . . . looks like hes saying / thinking. . . . . "yer. . . and what are you looking at?, it's just me and my hounds, doing our thing!"
