    Vac hob really is the way to go. Don't see the point of the implant. . . . . . . . I know must vets are expensive . . . . . . . and it does my head in at times, how much the consultations are when you already know what is needed. However, suggesting that there should be no consultation fees is just plain daft. If they charged you only for the price of the drug, then effectively they are just providing a free medical service. . . . . at the end of the day it's a buisness . . . . so clients money DOES need to pay for wages, building, stock etc etc etc. That's just the way the cookie cru

    Just some thoughts - folk are suggesting a pet bred border - but unless you plan on remortgaging your house. . . . maybe this won't work If I was you, and i'm not. . . . . i'd go and look for a wee scruffy mongrely x-bred terrier, or 'russel type' which you could probably find in a shelter (as a pup). Shouldn't have too many health issues, and the personality should be ok with decent up bringing and it will probably kill a few rats if you wanted.

    By all accounts, the beagle bitch was a handy sort, a nice sized bitch. At the Pellena valley hounds show today, I met the man who bred the sire to my bitch today, and the gens back as far as the original teckle used. He told me his aim was to produce rough coated beagles, with a few other attributes. He seemed happy with how my bitch had turned out. We discussed possible future breeding plans. . . . . and it added a whole new dimension of possibilities . . . . . .

    I get what the lad is saying to some extent. If lamping. . . . obviously a bit of a dumb idea! However, if you were out bushing and flushing in the day, and had a small, quick, nippy dog that often made the catch, had the knack of being in the right place at the right time etc, and could help put foxes in the bag that might have been missed. But could or would not dispatch on it's own. . . . . . would you leave it at home, or let it come out with the pack?

    Are you no getting a wee bit confused mate? What most folk have said IS. . . . . they they have had pups from him, or out of his dogs and they have proved very good workers in the field, time after time. That speaks for itself to me. People do not 'arselick' him as a great worker of dogs. . . . . they 'arselick' him (as you so charmingly put it) as a producer of great working whippets. Nothing more. Whether he works his dogs or not, whether he worked Sooty Sam or not (funnily enough the dog retired after a working accident I believe). . . . . those dogs produce workers.. . . .

    Yes mate, keeping more than one Jill is best, single ferrets get bored and lonely. If they are together from kits they should get on fine! Ferrets jills come in season each summer as they days get longer, most believe that keeping them in season, can lead to health problems for various reasons. Your options for taking them out are mating them (which will result in a shit load of kits you need to feed and get rid of), or more simply, getting them jabbed by the vet or running them with a vac hob.
