  1. A lot of folk poach and never get pulled..... Others however are either just unlucky, but mostly thick..... They do stupid stuff, act like a fool and then moan when they're caught. It's part of the game if you choose to play it! As for folk thinking stuff like lamping from a footpath is legal etc..... C'mon ..... How dumb are you?
  2. Wait. The rest is unspoken I think, bit still taught, if that makes sense - eg not messing with nets, ignoring ferrets, keeping still...
  3. . . . . . if a field trial spaniel was no good for hunting cover etc . . . . it wouldnt be a field trial spaniel. . . . . There is a lot of shit spoken about trialling dogs. . . . and its mostly because people either cant handle them / train them . . . . or the dogs actually are not field trial dogs. . .
  4. Even with the neoprene lining? Some folk have said those ones are a wee bit tight.
  5. Fairplay, thought I was being dumb! Out of interest, does anyone have them with the neoprene lining and if so did your normal size fit of or do you take a size or half a size bigger . . . .
  6. Yer that was my thought, but some of the differences are pretty big. RRP is £168.00 for the new 'anti-fatigue' parcour iso 2, and on ebay, from some place called 'Hope Valley Saddlery' or something, they are £129.99!
  7. I was just looking at Aigle wellies . . . . . how come you can buy them cheaper from a supplier on ebay than you can buy from aigle themselves . . . . . ??? Or am I being dumb.
  8. First two sentences good. The rest is a load of crap.
  9. PP is probably right mate, it's worth asking your mates if they have been telling any of their 'mates' about how good your dogs are . . . . .
  10. This might sound a bit odd - but nearly every stolen dog you see is a coursing bred saluki x. They tend to be targetted by certain folk, who will work their bollocks off to get them. Now the other types that go missing, are usual taken by 'locals' as it were, folk that know the dogs, or know you etc. Of course it might have just been an opportunistic scrote, but you never know. . . . rack your brains for ANYONE you might have the slightest suspicion of, even your mates.
  11. Another day, another dog theft. A couple of weeks back, a third of all the posts across the first 2 pages of the lurcher section (thats 10/30) were about stolen dogs. It's just fecking sickening, and there isn't much we can do. One thing I WILL gaurentee though, is that a handful of the folk that are reading / have read this. . . . are dog thieves. I hope you find some resolution mate, pics of the dogs might help? Any local traveller sites etc? DO you have any traveller friends? Or any local scrotes you couldf squeeze for some info etc??? Keep your chin up, and if you do find them,
  12. If you don't want a spaniel .... Why comment. That's what they cost (ok that might be a bit steep by about 150 quid). But that's life, it might not be right, but that's the going rate!
  13. Cheers phil. It's certainly nice to even FIND a vet that inspires confidence when it comes to running dogs! I hope dusty comes good.
  14. The outcome was positive at this stage, we shall see. Cost the same as a normal vet visit, in fact less than my local vet :-)
  15. Good read mate, thanks for sharing! Glad the pups are coming on well for you!
  16. On my way back to Wales now, took about two and half hours to get there. Well worth it though, the mans a genius.
  17. Dogs foot. Spoke to Simon Gower, who no longer sees patients, as he now works for a consultancy firm in London. He however said that if he had a broken running dog, that's the guy he would take it to.
  18. Good, that's what I was hoping..... It's a five hour round trip ha ha.
  19. Anyone ever been to see Daniel Doherty in Uxbridge, I think the practice is called something like myvet 24/7?
  20. Had an unreal year for edible mushrooms this year, i've picked hundreds. Definataly a lot more than previous years, more like when I was a kid.
  21. I would be a little put off by the seller calling them 'beagollies' something tells me their non workers bred for profit.
  22. Is go for 5/8 3/8 over first x half x or 3/4 bred out of a first x over a grey. In theory the litter should be more even, with less chance of throw backs. Should be in between the two in terms of speed and strength. But as said its as much down to individual pups and choice of sire and dam as anything else.
  23. Do folk really buy working dogs off pets4homes and preloved, based on price......?
  24. Says the man I just dragged kicking and screaming into the world of bow back boxes..... That box will pack a punch Gaz when it swings into your back....ouch !! Aye you're not wrong there, and I'm converted! Fed up of bruises!.
