  1. Who said anything about lamping......? Like i said your a numbers boy... Ever thought why a dog jacks?,,,,tell you what its not always down to the dog. Anyway keep buying and selling...Goodnight and goodbye.
  2. from what you have said straight away i can tell that you would keep a sub standard dog! in my opinion that IS the reason why theres so much shit about and why the jackers are bred off! it isnt matcho its the RIGHT thing to do. no it isnt nice but its for the best if you cant find a pet home where you know it wont be bred off, people need to get off there high horses and consider weather they work there dogs hard or just sit on the sidelines watching and listening to there (heroes) in books or on sites like this messsaaaa Sounds like i hit a raw nerve there. I bet the ratio of fail

  5. Just to add my pennies worth. It has always sickened me how many young adult or fully grown lurchers you see for sale, yes some genuine, but most whos owners just want to try something different or give up too easily. It really does boil my blood. I can't understand why people just don't research what dog they need, buy the dog, enter it properly and stick with it until its days are over. I have had a few different dogs and not one that failed me or was shit. Yes they have had set backs but you have to work through these. I can also never net my head around these hard talking machos if it do
  6. Just wondering if half cross bedlington lurchers moult hair or not as in the case of the pure bedlington.
  7. Worked two full border collies, a bitch and a dog. Both were first class rabitting dogs. The bitch took to bushing like a duck to water, i got her off a milkman man at the age of one. Bye this time she had already had a litter of pups and just been kept most of her life in a stable. An amazing working dog. Ive found if you want a dog for mainly hunting up rabbits a good border collie is capable of doing just as good a job and in most cases better job than most lurchers, although it won't catch as many on the run.
  8. Don't get rid......you nor your dog will never benefit if you do that.

  19. A tumbler in my eyes is a lurcher. If its not a lurcher, what is different in its breeding? I always thought there were two catergories, lurchers and longdogs.
  20. I thought you guys were at the wind up!!! What site is this mate? The info i found was on....lurchers.org.uk...........enter the site then head under F@Q. Just looks like variation in the litter to me....tumber my Ar~E
  21. Just been on the website again, here is some info and a pic from the site of two litter mates, one a tumber and one a lurcher.... Q. What is the difference between a Lurcher and a Tumbler? A. Sam and Ben are brothers, yet Sam is a Lurcher where as Ben is a Tumbler. Ben(right) is a specialist rabbit dog with superior agility and acceleration (for short dashes in small spaces). Sam (left) is 'up on the leg' with ground covering stride, more suited to hares in open spaces.
  22. . . . . . yes they have different coats. . . . . so this effects the way in which they take game when full grown?
