Me too, like your vids, thanks.
  2. Id sooner keep hancock in business than give my money to 90% of the people who i have come across breeding lurchers.
  3. I like the look of that little beardie stud their bringing on...beauty
  4. Paid £ quid for my current bitch, but most people were demanding £200 upwards, most someone wanted was £350 and this was for a bed/whippet of sorts. Most id pay, around £200.
  5. Had two, but told myself im not getting another from a puppy farmer...in the end i did buy another pup this year privately, but i have come full circle and would have another off him. Why, well i met a couple of decent blokes breeding for the right reasons, but the majority were just liars. My first off him was about 20 years ago, beardie/border mix, the last was border collie/greyhound, both half crosses. Both good dogs, the beardie/border was a big dog and his enthusiasm to work was faultless, very good alrounder and the most laidback house dog ive owned, but my god could he find foxes....,

    Ipad app

Can you get an app for this site for ipad? Thanks
  7. Both will do the job, id go lurcher, why pay silly money for a whippet. Whippets dont like hanging around in cold windy/rainy conditions for too long when ferreting, they will, but there are much better things out there. Collie/greyhound x whippet, bedlington/greyhound x whippet etc. try the working bedlington forum, some good rabbiting lurcher pups come up on there.
  8. To what extent or you wanting them to bush and what cover. Some love getting in there looking for a rabbit, but not all. Will never compete with an out and out bushing dog. Mine was ok, but given the chance would leave it to my other dogs, saw a good little blue bitch many years ago, but she was quite a bit smaller than many of the whippets you see today and still had nothing on a jack russell.
  9. Handy bit of kit, those led's have really come on, i have a led lenser m7, its amazing for such a small thing that can hide in your pocket. That thing of mine has only a tiny lens so god knows what the above will be like. Bet its got a cracking beam on it.
  10. Is it a cree led, if so he probably will get quite a few hours out of it. Let us know how you go on with it. Just found this link....... http://www.ebay.co.u...e-/320813659685 and it is led Says around 5 hours use.
  11. Cheers, Ive got two russells,,,,,the one in the pic keeps me on my toes..
  12. I agree they make good ferretting dogs but if ferreting for a long time in wet, cold windy conditions and the going is slow there are better options, but if there your favourite ferreting dog then fair enough. how is that young pup of yours now is she settling in if you dont mind me asking? Hi Darbo, thanks for asking. She's come on in leaps and bounds and is a lot more confident around me which im so happy about. Im taking it really steady with her, but she did get to hold a fresh rabbit the other day when Penny the collie/greyhound unexpectedly pinned one on the edge of some brambl
  13. Mallys pups are what I would go for if I wanted one Whats up with Mally's, dont know the bloke but i like the look of his dogs...great condition....Serious question...why not??? Because he is a bullshitter. what sort of a dog man goes on about the colour of a dog having an effect on its bone and coat condition?!?! what topped it off was this post he made about tom and dodger. i think the green eyed monster has got a hold of him. Ok you have your reasons.

  16. I couldn't tell you, a lady who i ran past when trying to catch up with it said it had a collar on. Was quite heavily muscled looking dog, couldnt tell you if it was male or female though, i just couldnt get close enough.
  17. 11.45 am, just seen a bull/greyhound type lurcher going down Norfolk Hill, Grenoside Sheffield, S35..... looked real worn out, crossing back and forth over the road. Tried to get near, but just avoided me, had a collar on. It looked mainly black with the odd dot of white.

  19. Used to lamp two dogs together- whippet and a border collie and i also used to lamp two b.collies together, never once had a collision with each other, had some good sport, where i live your lucky to catch loads, and most i got was 6, really use to enjoy it, now days its mainly daytime mooching for me.
  20. Just wondering if any of the others in the litter turned out looking like this one or did any throw different? Lovely looking little dog. Cheers
