coonboy how s it going pal?The only suggestion i can make is let the dog grow and test him fully on all game as is legal then make a statement.The only requierement of a terrier is that he should mark well,find and stay with his quarry umtil dug to no matter how long that takes and anything else you demand from the terrier,that 's all you need,if your terrier can do this consistently then he 's a good 'un.

i have a terrier does the same,he gulps it down fast fast and seconds later it's on floor.He's not showing any symptons of illness though and has done this since a pup.

have you thought about diesel night heaters such as eberspacher,bit like central heating for campervans.

clean off the glue as it may interfere with metal conducting.Try a thin piece of silver foil where you think the battery connectors join up if that works then take it out and replace with thin piece of metal and solder it in place.

The easiest way to sort it would be to take out the hard drive and put a new one in with a fresh windows install,it,s more messing about trying to clean old,affected hard drives.hard drives are cheap enough now,and are much bigger capacity so look at it as an ugrade as well as a repair itwill be like a new machine, Why go to a pc shop for something you could learn to do.

You can get slug traps from places like the pound shops,apparently you put them in the ground and put some beer in there,not sure how good they are. Can the dogs get any problems with the slime like lungworm,does anyone know?

Join a club as they usually organise places to detect on.with all the recent big hoards being found lateley you would think a lot of farmers would let metal detectorists on in the hope they would find something on their own land.
