Trying to get in touch with a couple of lads that have not been on the site for a while. KIPO and JACKFROST . I would be very gratefull for any help

When we were young lads about 30 yrs ago,we used to go out a lot with an old boy who had one of these crosses,ran with another dog on daytime hares she had one hell of a catch rate,not quite fast enough on her own,running her on the lamp she was deadly,and plenty of stamina

During the mid 90s i won over 60 championships in 21/2 yrs with a dog that i bred as a worker,just so happens he was also a nice dog. This dog was the sire and grand sire to all them dogs mentioned in that advert for show dogs in the countyman's a few weeks ago.He was taking rabbit,hare and fox regularly,single handed during the winter. Each to their own.

Too true c.s. I've also owned both crosses, all were first cross,some of the bull's were ok dogs,the first wheaten cross bitch i owned was a total waste of space,the wheaten's i've got now are far superior in every way,i,ll also be sticking to the wheatens

a good wheaten cross bred from the right stuff is every bit as hard as any bull cross.by the right stuff i mean proper working wheatens from proper working lines,not the K.C. shite too many people use to breed lurchers these days. Totally agree

Had four twice ,again around Xmas time

About 7 or 8 years ago we had 18 between Boxing Day and New Years Day,most were dug but some were bolted and taken by lurchers. Season before last we took 12 out of 2 small covers in 1hr 20mins using 2 Beagle crosses

give me a wheaten x any day i've kept them for the last 9 yrs now more than happy with them
