  1. I was feeding skinners duck and rice and skinners crunch but my dogs did not do well on it dry coats and loose crap. Changed to Chudleys working crunch £17 a bag seems to suit them better but still quite high in protein 24% and 14% oil a bit too high for the summer but as some have said feed cheaper food and all they do is crap more because the food is lower quality and less digestable
  2. If you are still looking for a raised dog bed I have one it is called a coolaroo you can get them from vet uk in different sizes. I have one in the kennel dogs like it it is a bit chewed at the corners but a bit of aluminium strip screwed on would stop that.
  3. My cocker spaniel did the same thing it is just a puppy thing shows probable a high prey drive and a lack of work/excercise my cocker is fine now 3 years old and when beating pheasants / partridges just ignores the flushed birds.
  4. The ex army gaiters have a zip at the back but do not unzip completely if that makes sense the down side is you have to take your boots off first to get the gaiters off .
  5. I have ex army gaiters off eBay there is some new green ones for sale £9.00 plus £4.20 postage you will not get cheaper.
  6. Might work but now the bone has dried out will not be as effective as when fresh, if you can get the skull off shield you could give the skull a boil in water keeping the coronets out of the water then put tissue paper soaked in peroxide on the skull and leave for 24 hours and clean off.
  7. Nice hutch tomo good to see ferrets looked after well, what's the brown circular bit at the back?
  8. I have used bipod. Tripod and the quad sticks over the years and it all depends on the range you are likely to shoot at up to 150. Yards the tripod would be fine plus the advantage of them is they are self supporting so you can set them up and they will stay there unlike the quad sticks which need to be held in position. The quad sticks are a lot more steady to shoot off at long range but need more practise setting up I use the quad sticks a bit more awkward but I think it is worth it.
  9. Can I also have 10 putangs apack of spare triggers and an extra setting tool please. Pm me your PayPal details thanks
  10. I had the same when I fitted a stove, problem with tar from wood running back down which is caused by too large a flue size causing gases to be to cold, solution installed a stainless steel flue never had the problem again but remember to use seasoned wood.
  11. I bought a double ferret box from this guy about 6 weeks ago waited a couple of weeks no box emailed him said he had a bereavement would send the box next post which he did received the box a few days later, so either he is telling porkies or is having a bad time of it.
  12. Looks a useful looking ferreting dog as well
  13. Sixteen inche is the shortest you can go legally, any small amount of fps loss will not make any difference just make sure you pick a good rifle smith who will make a good job of the crown or your accuracy will be affected.
  14. Good shooting mate are you shooting that cattie ttf or otf ?
  15. First thing to do is go to police station or download application form for fac fill in questionnaire and hand back with appropriate money easy.
  16. Pm'd you see if you could send some pictures bit confused about the lacquered stock?

  18. Just for a bit of target practise and feral pigeons in steadings,I see they have a lot on website but must order them in if needed. See a lot of secondhand ones on free ads but not sure if pcps are more problem prone?

  20. Hi walker Just found this topic very interesting I have a tx200 but looking to get a pcp was thinking of a Ultra or aa400 any opinions on that. I see you are in Aberdeen have you had any dealings with Aberdeen field sports shop ?
  21. What do you lads think about this type of catapult, came in post this week before I was hitting cans at 10 metres 4 out of 10 shots ( I know pretty crap) now I can hit a 20 bore cartridge end on 1 in 3 shots once I get warmed up. Advantages 1 extra length of draw by 5 inches 2 steadier hold 3 less chance of hand hits / no hand slap 4 more accurate for me anyway Disadvantages 1 not easily hidden 2 price ( unless you can make one)
  22. You might get more information on the gundog training forum.
  23. Well done enjoyed that good quality film.
