Well for some reason i decided to go in today and rag the Greenfinch nest.. i candled 3 of the 5 egg's a while back and they where infertile so i presumed the rest would be..which was not the case.. i looked in with my little mirror this morning and to my surprise they was one fat chick sat in the nest.. .. i did manage to get a ring on it but if i had left it another day it would not of went on..i can't wait to see what colour it turn's out as it's with my Lutino cock and Isobel hen..
  4. I had a terrier several year's ago that would get the same problem from time to time.. the best method i found for clearing the infection up was to put half a spoonful of Potassium Permanganate crystal's in a jam jar and half fill it with warm water till the crystal's have dissolved.. i would then dip the infected foot into the jar for 1 minute 2 times per day and this would quickly clear the infection up..it worked for me so it might be worth a try.. http://www.amazon.co.uk/250g-Potassium-permanganate-high-grade-crystals/dp/B00BEKR9UY

  20. I had a dog's year's ago Skycat that had terrible feet.. it done 3 of it's toes like what has been mentioned over a several month period and after cutting the nail right of each and everytime made no difference at all..he was stuck with the swelling which ended his working carrier.. i know a lot of lurcher folk and greyhound men mention that method.. but i have never seen it work on my own dog or my mates dog's..
