  1. If it was causing a problem then it must go.. ..but most of the folk and kid's out there just shoot anything that moves for the fun of it..
  2. I personally don't see the point in shooting stuff for the fun of it especially in the breeding season..i know it's on the pest list but what harm do they really do.. let them rear there young first and if you feel the need to shoot anything that move's do it later on in the year..
  3. The best thing you could do Bear is get a pair when they are through the moult...then let them breed next year that way your wife can hand rear and have as many tame bird's as she likes.. .. the Goldies will mix ok with the canaries out of the breeding season.. but when the breeding season start's it would be wise to separate them unless you want a load of goldie mule's..
  4. I'm not a c**t but you are a vulva..
  5. Apparently it's a pregnant Fish..
  6. It's a bad time of the year mate as just about all are breeding and any young have not gone through the moult yet..ask the same question around the October month and you will get a more positive answer..

  15. It's the same plight that applies for the skylark's the intensive farming through out the country is leaving very little set aside stubble fields.. they are harvested ploughed and sown within a couple of month.. it's got to have a knock on effect for the wildlife.. when i was younger i could come across several skylark nest when out mooching... i have never seen a bird or a nest for probably 10/ 15yr's..near to me..on a good note they is a Grey Partridge breeding program up Northumberland way and i do hear the odd skylark..
  16. Forgiven for now the little shit has one more chance..
  17. It's good to see a good population of House Sparrow's Tuffty.. not too long ago through all the house modernising there nesting habitat's where destroyed and there number's where on the decline the intensive farming did not help either.. it's good to see them on the up again..
  18. You might smell like a whores hand bag but do a google search on Skin So Soft.. i was working on 3 big stagnant pond's a couple of year's back and we where getting hammered by mosquito and horse flies..Moll got bitten that much she had an allergic reaction and was poorly for day's.. They was this old fellow on the private estate who used to be in the armed forces who turned up with a spray bottle of the stuff once he heard of our plight.. .. i was amazed at how good it was and unlike the jungle formula that did not really work it did not make my lip's or eye lid's go numb.. give it a go you

  20. Live Pete the dry one's surely can't have as much nutrition in them.. .. on the sparrow subject i have a large colony nesting in the ivy on the back of the house.. i have put terraced nest boxes up for them but they prefer the ivy.. and they love moist dry dog food..
  21. What is it with me/ my bird's and mealworm the ungrateful little shit's never eat them when i put them in.. last year the Redpoll's ate the head of the odd one..not too worry the wild bird's are happy with them..
