  1. Brilliant stuff!! Great to hear someone trying something different!
  2. Bought my Y reg convertible for my wife when she past her driving test. She loved the look but hated the drive, so I had to use it and she had my car. Best £1500 I've spent. I love it, it'll go anywhere on the shoot, plus I drive 60 miles a day to the office and that's great as well. The convertible is a bonus for lamping rabbits! A lot of people slam them for their size and comfort level, but honestly, if you want land rover ability without the land rover bill, you won't go far wrong. Apart from standard wear from tyres and exhaust, it's only needed a new water pump and alternator for a t
  3. That's a stunning refurb, sadly I'm in the Lefty club and although I shoot r/h PCPs, I'm no good with r/h springers!
  4. Oh to have the sea as a backdrop to your shooting ground. I'd never leave! Shooting, Surfing, Kayaking, Sailing, more shooting! Pretty good life!
  5. As already stated an army kit bag for £14.00 work brilliantly. I have 10 full bodies and 20 something shells, plus pegs, lunch, crow decoys, spare bag, seat, watetproofs etc all crammed in.
  6. I've sent guns for tuning and have never had a problem with Royal Mail. £24.00 or near enough for up to 12 kg's, with next day delivery and insurance up to £500 I think.
  7. I can't fault my AA S410 TDR. Regged, it would give circa 70 full power shots, without about 45. Cracking, deadly accurate, light weight, short and quiet.
  8. Sorry bud, could have made that slightly clearer! If you read the captions underneath it explains that all birds have four trans somethings in their eyes which give them the ability to see a larger colour spectrum, including UV, hence the divided peacock photo demonstrating the difference between what we see and what fellow bird may, they use a peacock, but pigeons will be seeing roughly the same. Mammals on the other hand have the colour recognition ability of a person suffering from red/green colour blindness, so a bit like your TV with the contrast greatly reduced, making their view
  9. Ever wondered what a squirrels/ rabbits/ foxes eye view of the world looks like? Do Pigeons really see UV? Just saw this... http://www.bbc.co.uk/nature/18580667 Nice to see scientists catching up!!
  10. Can't fault the BASC. £5.00 a month, a steal!
  11. Go with the Mole mate!! You won't get to much better than the S10 in terms of accuracy and shot count, especially if it's had a service from XTX, JB, orTench. all have excellent reputations and I can recommend the services of XTX as I have had my R 10 done and will be getting the S10 serviced in the few weeks.
  12. Mil-dot on my .22's and 30 - 30 on my .177. Both as good as each other but find the extra reference and range finding ability of the mil-dot ret. with .22 useful.
  13. Hi Mate Don't put them on a pedestal! Farmers use the loo like the rest of us! Just ask politely and go from there! The hardest person to ask will be the first person you do, but it gets easier from there with persistence. Good luck!
  14. Hi Scott Nice shooting and it sounds more like it was it's nerves than the pigeon still being alive. I've shot a few where they look like they are still alive but clearly can't be and normally in the head. a boiler room shot, just by the wing joint drops them like a stone, but head shots normally come with muscle reflexes that can make them look like they are still here. Nice shooting!
  15. My S410 TDR can already carry two mags in the stock. Comes in useful if you need to change mag quickly with limited movement... Nice touch!
  16. I've had them both in .22 and frankly there isn't much in it. 14 shot mag on the hw is great, 180 shot count on the R10 is brilliant. Really hard to seperate them to be honest.
  17. Just watched this in HD and it's fantastic! Great footage and quality!
  18. A non regged S200 cylinder is about the same size as my S410 TDR cylinder. 40 odd shots in the sweetspot, about 35 pumps with my hills pump to return to top of hotspot, second hand pump £70.00, no refill hassles!
  19. I've got a pump and fill both my small cylindered S410 TDR and the bottles from my S10 and R10. A bit of puff andf 7 mins, all done.
  20. Hi Tony You've possibly just saved me £50, having just managed to shoot the front sensor off mine, this comes as great news as was thinking I may have to buy a new one. i'll contact them on Monday!
  21. Buy it!! At worst you'll need to send it away for a tune up (circa £100)! I love mine, although I think if I were buying again I'd get a full length one as mines quit loud!
  22. Have used both and honestly, if you know your ranges mildots then I would stick with .22.
