  2. There's so much evil in the world... Maybe this is purgatory and that's why God doesn't step in? Although you would think he'd pull one out of the bag
  3. The reply I finally got after a week and a half from gps4us was basically "unfortunately the collar can not be unlocked, sorry for the inconvenience".... Another reply said to go to my local garmin dealer which apparently is tesco, I'll go but I'm sure they won't have a clue
  4. Damn it..... There's my answer!!! So now what do I do with the collar I have considering it was bought from America with "as new" on the description on ebay and returns not accepted... Am I f****d?? No, you're not f****d You need to get in touch with that GPS4US place, they can "unlock" or modify the software to work in UK. Bullmastiff was super helpful when I was asking about them As I discovered you'll also need a computer running Windows to do anything with them yourself ... OSX (Apple) isn't compatible.

  6. So my new kit has arrived and I've discovered that the collar won't sync with the handset... The screen reads "radio frequency is not authorised in your area" so with the wee village being a bit of a dead zone for mobiles etc I moved to another town and the handset reads the same! I've read the instructions back to back and the Garmin site just seems to have FAQ section that doesn't solve my problem. Is it faulty or what's going on?
  7. Very true... I went ahead with the garmin Astro 320 so I'll let you all know how it goes https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/262435845984
  8. What's the craic with these eBay ones that work with apps on your phone?? Here's just one but there's quite a few variants, some charge 9p a text and other are £5 quid a month etc... https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/152005015446 I had planned on coupling one with the canicom800 after they got out of range the other day and never returned home for hours! At least I'll have an idea of what direction to search
  9. Yes......and its also legal......legalise dog matching then you can start talking about making it clean. Every contact a dog has will have a big effect on its immune system.....even a 5 minute roll if you was able to peel the skin away you would find deep bruising into the centre of the muscles over the entire body a fully peaked bulldog is a surprisingly delicate little athlete they can only hold peak condition for a very short time finding a dogs peak truly is an art much like a fighter making weight......some of these lads new to bulldogs roll them out far too often then by the time the
  10. It's only illegal because they won't be able to in force tax on it.... American scientists discovered in the 70's that it cured different types of cancer which would put the pharmaceutical companies out a fortune in cancer treatment!
  11. I have no opinion on whether he quit or not, I just like reading up on articles etc... You can spend hours of interesting reading so I thought I'd post this link because half way down the page they talk about how bullyson had went into the match just in case you had an interest in reading it! http://rayfox6.tripod.com/id75.html
  12. If you think the dog has hit his peak how does his peak last for? And if you notice that he's gone stale how long would you rest him up for?
  13. Nobody's talking about contests.Rolls are not contests they are they are used to put a young dog against dogs with different styles to see what a young dog has about it in the quickest way possible.Day for instance a dog is going to be rolled 4 or 5 times between the age of 1 and 2 yrs if the youngster is rolled in average condition well fed and walked a few times a week each roll might last 30 mins before the youngster gets tired and has to show it has a bit of heart . whereas if that youngster was conditioned to go 3hrs you wouldn't even be able to roll it 4 times in a year and even if you d
  14. I sort of understand and can reason with the purpose of these 'off the chain' contests but I wonder how many were written off as curs because they're body failed to do what the heart wanted? Does anyone remember the documentary on pit bulls a few years back? It showed a fight where a guy Gonzales dog failed to go to the scratch line after 45 mins, to everyone on here at that time the dog had quit but what I saw was a dog that was unfit and couldn't carry himself... Was I wrong?
  15. What you suggesting mate that they didnt exist ?.....the records are out there and documented for anyone to see of the dogs around in those days......guys like Mayfield put their all into what they did and got the best results they could for the era they was in the dogs what more can you ask. Ah no, there's no doubt the dogs existed, but in an earlier reply it was thought dogs of lemms day wouldn't have lasted against even average dogs of today and I think the opposite, just my opinion! Mostly because nowadays there's too many bred for money... A dog gets put to stud after 3 wins... The old
  16. Don mayfield says it took him about 7 years of gardening to get his body down tight and then he took a year off lol... But then again he's an American so when he talks about gardening maybe his garden is the size of the farm that I live on. On the other hand if it took 7 years to get me in shape I'd consider a different approach lol One thing I notice about all these yard videos on YouTube is that there's rarely a conditioned looking dog in the whole damn thing! But yet they're all grand champion this and grand champion that £££££
  17. funny you should say that about sports exercise etc, an old fella I work with kept racing/coursing greyhounds all his life and although he's mostly retired now he thinks the dogs in the 80's were better conditioned and stronger through work than what they are now... Maybe he's just full of romantic memories of the dogs he had?! Or maybe dog owners now rely a lot more on chemicals and nutrition than before?
  18. I never knew the guy had passed and I've been watching his conditioning video on YouTube many times with intentions of keeping the lurchers in shape just to see what difference I would get out of them... But anyway, the point of this topic is, are the Videos he talks about on his film still available?? I first got his conditioning DVD from a German fella on here a good few years ago maybe even before YouTube was a success but I've since changed accounts and now I forget who it was.... Can anyone pm me if they have this footage? It's a cracking video to watch if anyone is interested in kee
  19. I've been following that guy for a few years since my sister sent me the link for his vids as she's living in Oz at present.. He runs rings around Steve Irwin and I don't understand why he's not more famous, he does a mean whacko Jacko impression also lol Entertainment at its best if you ask me lol
  20. Im not entirely sure who you are referring to nans pat but are you sure the lad had a clot ?.......like i say a lad very close to me died after a bout in the 90,s so i did a lot of research into it at the time and im not aware a pro fighter has ever continued their boxing career after removal of a clot......if it was just an aneurism then maybe as an aneurism is not a bleed and although it will show on a scan is not necessarily caused by trauma.......but an actual bleed where the brain bleeds into the skull and forms a clot that has to be removed........you wont fight again after that.I do lik
  21. Brian Plummer said he had cavalier kings Charles spaniels that he trained to enter rat and dig badgers... What a lot of shite lol... And then there was a clown that contacted me on eBay about a book I had for sale and he said he still got the strain of spaniel that can still hunt and go to ground... I never replied, just took his money and gave him the book lol I always had a terrier about for the sake of the gun club and I actually started out when I was 13 with terriers... Any of the good ones self entered and didn't take much encouragement other than the shake of a freshly shot fox.
  22. I drove a class 2 lorry for a contracting firm that worked for the council and road services.... I was there 10 years and winter was gullies and drains and summer was sitting on quads spraying weeds... Loved it but then with budget cuts they done away with contractors so now I'm in a factory building trailers for lorises with less pay and it's entirely shit!!! Been there a year and a half and it feels like a prison sentence :-(
  23. I got the clulite lithium pack in the old style rigid clubman case... It's 18ahr and weighs nothing, I haven't run it down yet either!! The jack plugs are reliable and I have nearly all my lamps kitted out with them
