    I agree about the height comment, some of the ones I bred that were 3/8 5/8 bred turned out really small even tho they started off as big pups and some of the small pups made 23-25tts ? I’m hoping the outcross to wheaten might fix that

    He was just fast and hard I put him to my first cross bitch and the bitch I bred from him done well and she’s 8 now

    this one was the father of my 3/8 5/8 bitch… lightning fast dog and hard as nails but awfully prone to injury! His other faults were that he was never a bright dog and was below average on the lamp

    Hopefully have pups this summer time but it’s looking more and more like I’m going to have to go down the route of a wheaten greyhound for stud… a genuine Beddy greyhound is like hens teeth where I am ?

    Ah thanks mate… I got a pup out of her but the nephews were needing a pup so I gave him up. At 7 months their hens started to disappear one at a time and then at 10 months the cat was assassinated ??

    I had one and it was the exactly same ? there was a guy on one of the fb pages I’m on that crossed his to a wheaten and the resulting pups look proper George Newcombe type… I always thought wheaten was the way to go to restore the Beddy as a ground dog, some might be a little big but JMO ?

    Has anyone experience of calibrating their box? I’ve been tweaking it back and fourth using the two little calibrations top and bottom all evening but I keep getting static after 10ft batteries are all new

    Yea he seems a really nice guy… I bought most of his foxing on the hills dvds and he gifted me a rabbiting dvd… I remember him saying he kept that line of lurchers for years and they all hunt like hounds on the dvds he had footage of them catching foxes on the gopro, it was certainly something different to see ??

    Wheaten greyhound/deerhound greyhound bitch... don’t get me wrong I love Bedlingtons but I think wheaten is becoming the way forward

    Lol I think this should be pinned on the forum home page.... now that I’ve tested it against the tape measure it’s actually not bad as it is, I’ve seen the adjusters you mentioned just before I closed the box up and I’m glad I didn’t fiddle with them ??..... I think I’m good to go! ??

    Ive just discovered Jim has sadly passed away and now I think my old 15ft knocker box needs calibrated.... it’s fine at the minute until I screw it out past 10ft then it’s making a static noise... does anyone know who else can calibrate them or is it maybe the collar batteries I’m using?
