  1. i have and yes they are an exciting thing to watch, mainly because they nearly all run in big huge blasts of speed and then miss on the turn... it takes alot of time for them to settle and i had one or 2 smash into fences and things only to cut their careers short... but if you obtained one as a pup and entered it like any lurcher i would say it would be just as good
  2. just bought a 3/4grey 1/4 wheaten pup or at least i hope thats what he is because the sire couldnt be seen... i'll get pics up of him soon... the mother was a 1st cross and a bit too heavy for coursin, he only used her for terrier work... i think a cross back to a greyhound was the right choice
  3. i trained a couple of bitches and one dog to the lamp... i didnt find them any different in the brains department to any lurcher... it would help a whole lot if they were'nt raised like cattle and were taught something when young...
  4. i ususally wait till they're a year or so old... i mostly start mine on the lamp because i find they hunt up alot less after they miss... that being said, the bullx i have now went mooching regular with the terrier and it didnt make any difference to her recall when lamping, she's very good!

    RSPCA

i remember a while back when the media discovered that greyhounds were being pts sleep by a fella with a bolt gun... he'd been doin it for years and served a useful purpose to the racing folk... rspca knew about it and said nothing because it saved them the job of doin it... then when the shit hit the fan they were the first to be on the scene with they're usual rants and raves about cruelty.... anybody recall that story???? he was burying them in a field from one side to the other then back over again, i think his father done it before him??
  9. could you's not put the pics up for the man, save him a real textin match
  10. if the clocks go back at midnight then will the bars continue on for the extra hour or will they kick out at half 12???
  11. thats what happens when arse bandits dictate how a woman should look... the fashion industry is full of arse bandits
  12. yep totally agree.... those townie foxes seem to fall for the small traps but the country foxes are wary of anythin that looks out of place!! a friend of mine reckons he can catch town foxes in cat cage traps!!! but for the country foxes he thinks you need one thats as big and as wide as ye can make it
  13. what about david platt lines.... are they good on all quarry and how come he doesnt get labelled a peddler like hancock does???
  14. sorry to trouble you mate, i'm just trying to work out what percentage of greyhound is in them... is the mother a grey/wheaten x saluki/grey and then is the father a wheaten/grey x bull/deerhound ??
