Not the dog called brock ? no i think the dog was called smasher. he was a wee bow legged white and tan dog, i'm fairly certain his name was smasher!!
-
there used to be a fella on here called smasher with a dog of the same name... only ever seen pics of it but it looked game as hell... wonder is he still on??

You need a Garmin astro gps unit mate. They are the best on the market. You can get a 2 dog system for about £550 I have used one pig hunting in N.Z and they are very easy to use also. Cheers cheers mate, what sort of range did you get with them??
-
christ thats a scandalous price... the lowest range seems to be 13 odd miles, where i was thinkin 2-3 miles would be enough!! what got me thinkin about it is that i was runnin them today and i already have them on electric collars but when they got out of the 800mt range they were off on the nose with no come back... 4 hours later i found them within range and got them under control again!! but i could have easily went the wrong direction and never found them!! :-(
-
i'm not even sure if thats the right name for it but does anyone have one or something along the lines of what i'm after?? i think the ozzy guys use them for hog hunting but i'd like to hear what systems are available and how they work, range and what price they go from?? had a go on fleabay there but nothin of use came up!! maybe i'm not putting in the correct search?

there's a big difference in weight and size between a greyhound and a bedlington but people still breed them...don't think a collie grey on a whippet will be much of a problem...but what do I no? Atb Yes but the bedlington is always the sire. not always But is best. why ??? i would have thought there would be less complications from a greyhound dam to a beddy sire than vise versa and would the offpsring not be alot bigger from the greyhound dam?? there should be little problem from a whippet dam having a litter to a 1st cross collie/grey..

i fell in love with those when i watched this... especially around 2.26 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BQJKQjXpGQA

what model jeep was you thinking? thanks andy. Take your pick mate....its whatever takes your fancy. Mitsibushi, Ford, Toyota, Isuzu.........imo id never go near a Nissan but others will tell you different. All of these jeeps keep your dogs seperate from the cab so your not getting a stink in the front. And if your using it for family i think thats a big bonus......... I just carnt afford to insure one with only been 20 for a l200 its £4500 and a 90 its £1300. Or would be getting one I almost bought a new d max till I got a incurance quote, atb andy FFS, those

one i had... was ok in big places but he wasnt the 'up and at them' type i thought he would have been!! he fought like the clappers with another terrier if it was a dog!! his shape reminded me of a cartoon lol

your in the same boat as myself mate... i've a 93 2.5 shogun, i' gonna change it for something a bit fresher and easier on juice!! with the same budget as you i'm lookin at td4 freelanders, vitaris and the toyota rav 4, in diesels!! so far my research say that the freelanders are hit and miss even the 04 models with the new bmw engines can give electrical problems !! this past while i'm quite liking the rav4 and grand vitari but ground clearance might be an issue?? i also looked at the nissan x trial and its got good reviews but i didnt like the look of it!!!

when out lamping i've been pulled in on a few occassions... first thing they ask is to see the firearms an when i tell them i havent got one but i do have a lurcher in the back then they seem totally clueless as to what to ask next!! one officer even wanted to know what the dog done, his words were like this... "so you just send the dog after things to tare them apart", i looked at him for a sec and replied, "i think you watch too much telly". he then inquired after dog licenses etc becuase he didnt seem to know what else to say!!

crackin dogs dranny, love the wee whippet.... as said before take one at a time out from now on!! the old hands often frown upon it but i got myself a canicolm training collar and it was priceless when i was training the track greyhounds i had on the lamp!! without it my nights were spent begging and chasing them round the fields but after one night wearing the collar they were sorted!! it was only a couple of nights before i had them walkin beside me without the need of the collars!! but i still like using it when i'm lampin them both together because when entering a new field sometimes t

i shoot with a remmington 597 .22 mag semi- auto .... the last shot in the magazine always seems to be the most accurate and i dont feel the recoil because the door lies open when empty!! i'm guessing a bolt action would be more accurate! i dont have any good pics of it :-(
