  2. Oh thanks so much mole catcher! I really thought I'd wasted my time - Im off to knit some more rows then!!
  3. Im busy making my first longnet and have done 2 yards so far. Im just using the same principle as when making purse nets. Ive made it 15 meshes wide and have only used my 2" mesh board. I was told today that I should have used a 2 and 1/2" mesh board Im gutted Im really proud of it and dont want it to go to waste. So, my question is - should I just keep going to the 25 yards size I want or should I cast it off into a poke net? Also, where is the best place to get hemp, nylon and a selection of different board sizes and needles? Sorry for all the questions but Im just new to longnetting. Th
  4. I'll second that!! Hope its been a great day!!!!
  5. Couldnt agree more there!! I recently got two from molecatcher and they are the bees knees!! He also helps with any questions/ problems you may have.
  6. Oh Im really sorry to hear about your loss Richie One of mine got out today and was missing for a good few hours and that sinking feeling is awful - your right you do get attatched to them.
  7. I havent been watching it but its on in the background just now and to be honest - after what Christopher Biggins has just eaten he SO deserves to win!!
  8. Im dreading the queues but I totally agree with why its happening.
  9. Yes it does have a built in wi-fi which I wouldnt have realised if you hadnt said that So thankyou very much indeed!!
  10. I went on the link and established that the adapter isnt compatible but discovered that my new laptop has its own built in!! I just had to find the wap key number - which suprisingly I had in a safe place for once so Im connected and its all good!
  11. Ive just bought a lap top with Windows Vista on it and have given my parents the PC which it is replacing. Ive kept the Netgear Wireless USB Adapter but I have misplaced the installation disk for it Ive already got a wireless network set up in my house so I assume if I can install the wireless adapter onto the laptop then it should be easy enough to find the network and get on to the internet? So, where on earth can I buy the a Netgear Wireless USB Adapter Installation disk? Or, has some nice kind person got one I could borrow? Please.............
  12. Directed towards me, I take it? Ok; Ye looking at getting a shotgun and ask about other ways of filling the pot? Am I about right? Cool! So now, if ye can stop gazing at Daz's avatar ~ seriously; That became quite the hot topic in Chat earlier! ~ then I'm sure ye'll find no end of inspiration under such headings as Trapping, eg. There's a wealth of discussion going on around this place. Much of it concerning the aquissition of a nice meal. All I'm saying is get out there and dig in. Steady as ye go mind. Get Too carried away with this lot and ye'll end up with that shotgun, a .
  13. How about the wizard out of the Lord of the rings?! As I think we need someone with special powers! Its a disgrace that we havent qualified, Im still gutted.
  14. I completely agree! Ive recently got myself one of these and I think its fantastic. I took my 12 year old nephew to the rifle range last week and he was a better shot than me with it! I have no problem highly recommending it for all of your purposes.
  15. Here he is at the rifle range, a bit boring - I know but soon I'll be putting up some pics of the rabbits he's shot - Im sure.
  16. I would tend to agree, many of the tools mentioned so far here are not exactly light. 12 year olds are getting bigger these days but the last thing you want is his arms falling off after walking the fields for an hour or 2. The Lightening and S200 are good tools , check out the Gamo range as well (Gamo & BSA are more than a little in bed together these days). Lots of good second hand kit about as well. All this is still going to be a very personal choice, but I would suggest you stay away from the £30 full power precision hunting equipment complete with scope etc etc ...........M
  17. Does anyone know for sure what it is yet?
  18. My nephew has been nagging at me for ages to take him out shooting rabbits. I decided that I'd take him to the rifle range on saturday to see what he was like with my BSA XL lightning. After about 5 or 6 shots he was spinning spoons at 35 yards!! Then the men at the range were giving him 'Challenges' to hit certain objects and he didnt miss one! I was both stunned and chuffed! He really seemed to enjoy himself and was very sensible with the rifle - putting it on safety every time he passed it to me So, Im definately going to take him shooting rabbits on my permission and I'd quite like to
  19. Well done to you and your mate! 32 rabbits in an hour
