  1. I'm selling my mark 3 and two collars (Not the magnet ones) the kits in immaculate condition and has been well looked after for three years. £150 posted. Any questions please PM Me. I'm in Newcastle mon to fri and Leeds at weekends if anyone wants to see the stuff. Cheers.
  2. It wasn't docked and the vet just took little bits at a time off. Too late for a second opinion; if this doesn't work she'll have to be PTS.
  3. A friend of mine has a springer whose tail is disintegrating. She has had her at the vets several times and each time they've taken a bit of her tail off. Now she's at the point where they have taken as much off as they can and if it doesn't heal or becomes infected the dog will have to be PTS. I'm just wondering if anyone has any advice to aid healing and prevent infection? Thanks.

  5. It's black with white running lines. I'm sure it's 6z. It's on fiberglass poles and has been used twice last season. Only selling due to my circumstances taking a turn for the worse. £70 for the whole lot. I'm based in Newcastle upon Tyne. Please PM me for more info.
  6. I have recently split with my partner and the house I'm renting does not allow pets. I have my 3 half year old terrier bitch with me but have been asked to either leave the property or get rid of the dog. She is excellent on rabbit and rats but I have never tried her to fox so cannot comment on her ability there. She is used to both kennel and house (due to recent move) I really need to find her a suitable home very fast or I will have no option but to get her PTS and I will be gutted if it comes to that. Please PM me for any details. I live in Fawdon; Newcastle upon Tyne.
  7. Silly me. £450 in Ashington. Northumberland.
  8. As title says, not a mark on it. Two 8 shot magazines. In carry bag but also comes with original box. Very little use. Excellent rifle. Reluctant but necessary sale.
  9. Any lurcher type will do I would imagine. I go ferreting with a Border Terrier, a x terrier, a deerhound x and a Labrador, they all have their place and all do a different job. The lurcher is the one who won two lamping competitions on here with LDR - Bruce. He's getting on a bit these days but loves going ferreting. When I get organised I'll put some pics up of them all at work.
  10. Hey, I honestly don't mind if you want to pop over and build me one like that! It would be no problem............Well done!
  11. I know how you feel, I lost my best ever working Jill a couple of months ago, it's a gutting feeling. I can't imagine it would have been that you didn't jab her - if it had been say the end of August I might have agreed but not at this time of year. Chin up mate.
  12. I'm just pleased we have an English manager at last! I think he might do well.
  13. Aw, what a shame, I just don't 'get' the high price? Yes they seem popular as pets. As you know I've got several working ferrets and a few that are just pets that I take to shows. Is the breeder you know the woman who was at the show at Crook? Is the angora ferret at the rescue a full male?
  14. Why? GO BACK OVER THE COUNTLESS THREDS AND IF YOU HAD PLANNED IN ADVANCE YOU WOULD NOT BE ON HERE CRYING WOULD YOU MY FREIND I'm certainly not crying, I just want some helpful advice - not sarcasm. But thanks for guiding me to the countless threads, I will read them now.
  15. Ive considered doing it myself but I'm sure it's against the law? I want them docked but have to do it right. Rob and press vets won't do it.
  16. What's all the fuss about Angora ferrets? And why do they cost so much? I'm not sure I understand the genetics behind them. Can anyone explain?
  17. Could someone tell me if you can get working dogs tails docked? Pups are a day old and I can't find a vet in Northumberland that will dock them. Thanks in advance.
  18. Just to be off at Christmas will be great! Im a nurse and for the last god knows how many years Ive always been on night shift on Christmas Eve and Christmas day! Ive got a 9-5 job now so i dont need to work any of the xmas or new year shifts!
  19. http://www.thehuntinglife.com/video/netmaking.wmv This is how I learned. Good luck.
  20. There's a video on here somewhere and thats how I learned. From my experience; dont start off thinking it will be easy, it wont - you will make mistakes but just keep at it and you'll get there eventually.
  21. Aw, thats awful. I suppose the only sensible way to look at it is 'Accidents happen' - still doesn't make you feel any better though eh.
  22. Thanks for all the nice replies. Im still gutted about it. Ive managed to get some bigger tubing though so it shouldn't happen again. Hope people using the 100mm tubing take note, freak accident yes; but just knowing this happened may prevent another one.
  23. I Really wish Id known that before today. Hopefully others reading this will take good advice. I feel so bad about it. Poor little soul. I'll never forget the look on his face when I shone a torch into the tube and saw where he was.
