  2. Im just wondering as I have a jill who is a week short of seven months old and she is huge!! I'd love to give her a look out tomorrow when I go ferreting - but is she too young? I dont want to ruin a potentially great worker because I'm impatient. Thanks.
  3. I got this phone two weeks ago as an upgrade and Im not keen on it, in fact I prefer my old one which I am now using. So Im going to sell the Nokia 95 with 1GB memory card. It has everything I got when it arrived from 02 and is in immaculate condition They are going for around £160 - £175 on ebay but I cant be arsed to list it there. So if anyone wants it please PM me. Im selling it for £150 including postage. I have a paypal account so it could be sent as soon as its sold. Cheers.
  4. All that matters is that your'e out and about doing what you love!! Great pictures by the way!
  5. Cheers Ditch, thats good advice Ive had a damn good look around there today - 5 hours to be exact My terriers are still flat out! There's a good few places where I think using the ferrets will be OK. Quite far away from the public footpath with some great open sets The beach warden wants some 'eaters' so hopefully when I arrive at the door with a good few for him I'll bring up 'Wires' and see what he says? He used to be a gamekeeper and has friends in great places - so with a bit of luck (And some effort ) this may lead to great things!? Of course - having my written permission on local co
  6. I guess I'll find out on Friday morning Ive already got my bag packed and I cant wait!
  7. Accidents happen I would have got the shock of my life as you both did - its not the kind of place anyone would expect an owl to be.
  8. I love the 9th Pic!! It looks like she is smiling, she has grown so much!! Best of luck with Jazz, hope it all goes the way you want Molly
  9. Yes, I have to admit, since getting into ferreting earlier this year - they are my pride and joy They bring me so much fun and will have a season of loads of work ahead So they ARE spoilt in a big way. I cant wait to get them working....and Im going on friday morning at first light Hopefully I will be posting some decent pics of them at work.
  10. Every day my ferrets are taken from their hutch and put in the garage where they have tunnels and all sorts of various activities so that they get plently of exercise, I often spend an hour with them making sure they get handled enough too. Today I went to have a look at my new ferreting permission (Again) and havent had the chance to play with them. Ive just got back in and found them all asleep together on top of the table where I keep all of my tools!! I didnt even know they could climb up there!! Luckily there was a cushion for them to sleep on!!
  11. There would be an excellent night with an air rifle and a great day with purse nets, ferrets and some rabbiting terriers but my permission clearly states only ferrets and nets Its a local Council contract smack, bang in the middle of a nature reserve. Its huge too!! And I have a feeling it will lead to bigger and better things Any suggestions will be very much appreciated Ditchy.
  12. Thats what I think too The sets are so big its unreal!! I went and had a good look around this morning and to be honest - there's so many rabbit warrens I dont know where to start Long nets may be the best way forward? As well as purse nets and a good few bods at the ready!! I may have to get some advice and Im hoping Woodga will come and have a look and tell me whats the best way forward? Hint, Hint!!!
  13. Ive just been given some great ferreting permission on the sand dunes near where I live - Its a 5 minute walk which is even better. Part of the conditions stipulate that 'There shall be NO deliberate digging or other damage to the dunes'. The area is part of a Nature Reserve and there is a public footpath running right through my permission. So, here's my question/ problem...If one of my ferrets gets stuck how can I get her out without digging? And where can I buy a live trap so as to catch them safely should I need to leave them? Thanks in advance.
  14. Hope its a good one mate!!
  15. Bankings, he's going to take me to show me where the problematic areas are. There's a public footpath that leads through it and there's loads of rabbit sets. When I get the necessary paperwork done I'll put some pics up.
  16. Ive just been and spoken to the beach warden where I live and he's given me ferreting permission there!! There's so many rabbits its unreal . He's happy and Im over the moon. Ive got to go and get the written agreement tomorrow and he wants me to go as often as possible!! I'd like to see him try and keep me away!!
  17. Im going to need a long net ASAP, Ive tried to make one and it was a nightmare!! So my brand new smoker is up for grabs if someone would swap me? Im in Blyth, Northumberland so the nearer the better. Thanks.
  18. Very smart!! There's nothing better than getting a new pup and bringing it on!! Good luck with her!
  19. I went to my local gym today and was very impressed to find they have a new machine!! I only managed half an hour on it though before I felt really sick and had to leave!! It did Mars bars, snickers, kitkats, milky ways, wispas, turkish delight etc etc..............
