  1. 3.5cm diameter???? they're for mice and hamsters! or do they do bigger ones?
  2. Nice pics! Good to see the young man pulling with weight aswell Where did you get his suit? looks the business! Nice digital watch aswell, you should get saving up your pennys pal, I've heard you can get them with calculators on these days!!
  3. he won't have been attacking them pal, ferrets are pretty rough with each other. He'll have just been dragging her about a bit. If you're new to ferrets a lot of the dragging and play fighting will look like real fighting. When in season the hob will grab hold of the jill by the neck/head/face and pretty much throw her about, if yours still has his balls swollen then that's probably what he was doing. But if he wasn't doing it in the house he probably isn't in season I wouldn't have thought. Just stick them in together, keep an eye on then for 10 minutes or so and you'll probably find
  4. I think it's down to attitude a lot of the time with older folk....some people when they get to a certain age seem to talk them selves into being 'old', almost like they relish being an old codger. And other people only restrict what they do when health dictates....all about attitude!
  5. that's cos you took half an hour to walk across one field and they were bored of waiting
  6. colouring/markings vary from ferret to ferret............rggggggggggggggggggggggggaeaaaaaaaaa.........sorry about that, I fell asleep with my face resting on the keyboard.
  7. I'm going to try mine with my bigger jill today....if all goes well he can go back in with both of them. Feel sorry for the poor lad, he looks bored to death!
  8. does anyone else feel like they've been thrown down the stairs the day after they've been ferreting? I always do, every time!!

  9. bad timing or what! hope he gets better soon!
  10. you're all wrong with your guesses about what I saw....I've been told it was labtastics dad
  11. It's the same with the ignorant members of the public who are not active antis or vegis. I had a discussion with a woman once who said I was cruel to kill rabbits for food, she said she doesn't care what happens to the animals killed for food in the supermarket as long as she doesn't know about it.....that's what we're up against! no point in even discussing it with people like that!
  12. You want to bet? Some of the stupid rabid antis I have spoken to over the years probably think that is true, brilliant. It's a shame there's not a way of gathering every single anti up and organising a field trip to an abatoir......the whole anti hunting idea would pale into insignificance overnight!
  13. Surely nobody is that stupid and survived long enough to learn how to write????????
  14. I saw an animal once, it was brown.....does anyone know what it was without seeing it?
  15. How would anyone recognise him ? When no pics of him as a adult are available ? Not only is he a serious danger to children. Someone innocent might get seriously hurt if mistaken for him. They both should have been jailed till 18 yrs old then Hung. They led that bairn away knowing they were going to torture then murder him. God Bless the little lad. There are pictures of him as an adult readily available!
  16. I've been out three times so far, not an awful lot to ground where I went but there were still loads of crops. When out and about with the dog there seems to be loads more than last year and the year before though, fingers crossed!
  17. Most of my ferreting is in hedgerows, I check to see if there's at least one spot I can crawl through and if there isn't I make one. I wear lined gortex trousers, gortex coat and leather gloves for protection against thorns and nettles (although most sessions I come home stung and scratched to buggery). I'll net up the side where I'll be standing and then go to the other side and whereever possible net the holes with the pegs reachable from the other side. I've extended the string on a handful of nets just so I can have the pegs 3 or 4 foot from the actual net...that way when a rabbit h
  18. I don't see the point in giving him a new identity now....everyone knows what he looks like! If you type his name into google and click images there are at least five recent pictures of him....the links have been removed but the pictures are still showing on the image search......he looks like a right arrogant c'nt on the pictures! Surely a matter of time before he gets a bullet? Apparently Robert Thompson has a wife and kid now aswell, I wonder if they know what he's done?
  19. There was a lad who posted vids of it a couple of years back but he was a bit deluded from memory...as in he was counting it as a retrieve when all that was happening was the ferret was taking a dead rabbit back to its nest in his garage. Dont think it did it in the field though, I think his aim was to have it bring all the baby rabbits out if it came across a nest. I'd look for the thread only I'm on my phone and its a pain in the ass.
  20. Totally agree....I've seen people who own dogs who couldn't bond properly with a dog if their life depended on it. There's a world of difference between a true dog person and someone who has owned dogs but is unable to make that connection, and I don't think it's something you can learn or change, not easily anyway. If you are a true dog person and have that vibe with your dogs then training and working them is a million times easier....and I also think it's one of the biggest reasons potentially good dogs turn to shit in certain hands, and on the opposite end of the spectrum why some pe
  21. Advertising dogs for free on here.....when will people learn?? give them to mates etc. fair enough, but don't advertise as free FFS!!
