  1. try emailing info@weihrauch-sport.de and ask them
  2. You only need 1 bit of land to have good reason so there is no reason for them to delay because you have submitted more land.
  3. Suitable land with suitable quarry and permission to shoot them
  4. What did it work out costing in the end?
  5. I've only moved within my area in which case all you have to do is email them once you have moved. They didn't want to check my cabinet after the move.
  6. It happened to me. A duff round left a bullet in the barrel, the second round vented out of the back of the case but only damaged the rounds in the top of the magazine. Rifle was, and still is an CZ American. I pushed the remaining bullet out quite easily and continue to use the rifle with no apprent loss of accuracy. Apart from a scare I and the rifle have suffered no damage.
  7. Not done a ruger but if you have mechanical sense then go for it. Some people think only professional gun smith work is safe, I prefer to know exactly what has been done. The key question is of course safety, check out 'bump test' and 'slam fire'. I had a problem onece that if the trigger was pulled with the safety on the gun discharged when the safty was released. You need to check the safety still works as well of course. Check for these things as part of your anual once-over as well. Some parts may be case hardened, if it happens you dont know what ramificatioins that has then mayb

  9. I find I get random low shots with the 20 grain as well. They can be almost 2 inches low, maybe 1 in 5 shots.
  10. In the The Deer Initiative gun security best practice guide it shows a trigger lock with cable arrangement but I've not seen such a thing in real life. http://www.thedeerinitiative.co.uk/best_practice/firearms.php

  12. Now that I need glasses to spot distant bunnies, I had my first outing wearing them and right annoying they were when it came time to take the shot. Cant help wondering though if those fancy coatings they tried to sell me are any benefit for use with a scope. Any one got any advice? Cheers. H
  13. This is a good read: http://www.homeoffice.gov.uk/publications/police/operational-policing/firearms-handbook-2005/firearms-security-handbook You can fit it horizontally
  14. Maybe you can do 70 yds with an air gun on targets where you know the range, but I'm rubish at judging range therefor holdover so stick with distances where they are still flying resonably flat. Thats say 30yds air rifle, 50 yds FAC air, 60 yds 22LR subs and maybe 120 Yds HMR.
  15. You certanly see yourself wobble more with higher mag. I dont think you said what you do with your left hand. I like to anchor my left elbow on the ground and hold the butt with my left hand which I find helps control side to side movement. Sometimes I use a stick also held in my left hand to stabalise the stock verticaly as well. Still the rifle doesn't seem to shoot groups consistant with how still it looks - I'm getting and inch at 100 yds so my next tests will be with the stock better bedded/floated on my American.
  16. How can they make a lamp seem so dull?
  17. It seems to me that they just need to have a justification to put in your file. You can keep asking: do you want ot check this list of farms or give me an open ticket? They have to show they have done thier jobs properly, even though the definition of properly might be a bit vauge. Give them what they need and you have a good chance of getting what you want.
  18. Mine was alright for the few dozen shots I used it for but I didn't like the whole semiauto thing: gun was too long and a faff to clean. It worked alright from new with 28gram loads and I could hit stuff as well as with the O/U which was not very well LOL.
  19. I tried the 20grain on Saturday and found 4 ot of 5 was accurate then I'd get one which shot an inch or two low at 100yds. Still tuning up the rifle but just about getting 1inch groups with the 17grains, cant remember the btand though. When I had the feeding problem accuracy was awfull too.
  20. Isn't this a slippery slope? If 22 Hornet why not 223, or 22-250 or 243? Each step gives a bit more , so how do you decide where to stop?
  21. best barrel length has got to depend on what it's loaded with. Firearms act seems to say 30cm which would be 11.81 inches. http://www.legislation.gov.uk/ukpga/1968/27 funny how the act uses cm and inches in differant places.
