it,s just as quick for some of them to go through the bar,s an less chance of injury as long as they don't stop I wouldn't worry about jumping gates as long as they jump the sheep wire. sheep wire normally has 3 strands of barbed wire on round here and if there going through a gate they'll go through a barbed wire fence and i'd rather mine went over them, unfortunately injury's come with the job

i'm out there on the tools, cant be doing with all the site meetings and talking shite with contracts managers sometimes though its like work never ends, get home on a Friday phone calls all weekend getting up at 4am Monday to start all over again, as long as you've got lads who you can trust to get on with the job its a weight off your shoulders all you need is a dishonest person within your company and it will bring it down quicker than anyone on the outside

shopfitting? --- i did all carpetrights rebranding feck did i chuck some money at that digs fuel overtime .. i`m glad out of it .. tell me about it i'm away right up to xmas we do the air-con, the moneys in the service and maintenance we'll be alright if they give us the contract for that We done 18 months away for a big cold store company, started on a big roof on a waitrose then took all the cladding work on it as well, in the end me and my brother had 18 blokes on the go doing Tescos for them, the full package roof and walls... We see on a job in Yorkshire and had another in Glouceste

exactly mate the company I was on about went bust in the end taking a lot with it, we lost £19,000 were in with another company at the moment its good work but tight schedule I've got to have 23 stores completed by dec 16th they pay monthly so if we get took its a big hit what weve found is no one will give contracts anymore which is understandable

you don't need a contract to be eligible for holiday pay if your employed, not self employed your entitled to holidays by law the hard bit is proving what he owes you tell him you play with matches, it'll be cheaper to pay you

the trouble with working for big companys is there payment structure we used to do work for a certain company that paid 90 days on receipt of invoice so our kit may be £30,000 it may take 4weeks to complete the job so 4mths later they query a price and it can drag it out, you have 3 or 4 jobs on the go and its twitchy bum time but the thing is you have to sign a contract over payments and you have to have the funds to cover it weve been took a few times and its not nice, I've been and ripped kits out that haven't been paid for only for a cheque to appear but a cheque's no good to me at
