  1. Never had a problem with mine I just give them a little brush every time I set them with a spark plug brush both the trigger and were is seats they work fine, I do set the trigger very shallow in the putange as well, IMO if you set too deep up the trigger on a seasoned putange might cause the trigger not to release,.
  2. My first attempt at some home made ones, took 1 hour most of that was waiting for paint to dry, far better than the £6.00 JP ones, shot all over to see results lol.
  3. Thanks I posted the results to company involved, the above Bad Guy ones is the reaction I was hoping for, thank you for pics as for the cap ones food for thought LOL.
  4. Thought I would try some splatter targets in the hope that they would probably help me with when I need to check zero my rimfires,so I first tried them on my FAC air at 28 flbs and down to 12 flbs but as you can see from one of the targets very disappointing I would not call these platter targets as given in JP's description pics,I also tried sticking them on various surfaces but not steel.
  5. Good numbers showing up here in Notts been hammering young sugar beet crop, unfortunately there migrating in from surrounding fields which is not my perm, went out with thermal and estimated around 70 rabbits over three ajoining areas, good to see numbers but not good for some farmers, doing my bit to get numbers hammering sugerbeet.

  7. Looks ok by me,make sure there genuine MK4 Fenns
  8. My Latest response from BASC, I ask them to tell me the forces that were not allowing shooting.. It’s not that police forces won’t allow shooting – it’s that they are issuing their own advice on this which they really ought not to be doing and we are working to resolve this at various levels. Examples of forces advising against most forms of shooting include Thames Valley Police, Cumbria, Notts and Essex but it’s a rapidly evolving situation – for example North Yorkshire has revised its position from advising against shooting to referring people to BASC advice. 9. In a there very latest email BASC say that there are several forces that wont allow shooting I have emailed them asking for this information. has anyone been not allowed to go shooting (general pest control and inline with the terms of the general licences) and if so which forces have refused this to happen.
  10. .22 subs scoped up rifle all day imo for rabbits more satisfying to shoot quieter and cheaper to feed, .17 hmr noiser by a long way, can take them up to 150 yards possible, sometimes too easily, but does the job, anything bigger is over kill imo.
  11. 2" carts have a very limited range imo, ideal humane despatch round.
  12. It should be agreed common sense and not the law that controls this situation were all in.
  13. Just phone your local plod for advice and describe the situation you never know if you meet there criteria its all go? Coronavirus and shooting – an update After consulting the government, BASC has updated its advice for conducting essential pest control in the UK while the current Coronavirus restrictions remain in place. In line with the Prime Minister’s statement, when making a decision on whether or not to conduct essential wildlife management, you should consider: • Is the landowner, or person responsible for giving permission, happy for you to be on the land in the cur
  14. Common sense seems to a very rare thing these days, stress panic and anxiety the norm now in these days of social media mayhem.
  15. I totally agree, when i go shooting I never including myself or my vehicle come no were close to anyone ever, but a supermarket work or shop is another storey, a couple of rabbits can save me a trip to the supermarket for my dog food at times.
  16. Keeping .17 it does have its uses, and 22.250 on its way very soon.
  17. I didn't find it until down to my last few rounds, apart from the odd miss at distance I did not notice any unusual problems when firing fortunately, I will be looking at them a great deal closer next time I buy.
  18. Found a strange crimped bullet head in my 20g Winy game points, don't how many of these I have had only noticed it by mistake, anyone got any ideas about these crimped points,I only shoot 20g winy game points, point of impact must surely change with these compared to smooth points. .
  19. I cannot understand why people want to push fac air to rimfire performance why not just buy .22 rimfire it runs cheaper, rifles cost hell lot cheaper and they don't need topping up with air from a dive bottle, I got fx fac air at 30 flbs its all the power i need from air and it can be used were .22 rimfire cannot go. my rifles in order are .22 fx adjustable power fac air - .22 rimfire - .17 hmr - 22.250, that takes care of everything and all situations for me except deer, and the usual selection of shotguns.
  20. All comments taken on board thank you all 22.250 will be my purchase. What make rifle is the above picture Baldcoot.
  21. I agree with your expressions they are correct and your concerns I agree with as well, I suppose each individual FAO has his/her own little spin on what they like to here from you before making there final judgement.
  22. That's what he said whilst visiting me on finalizing my application for my center fire, "I didn't mention a deer caliber," you can also go down in caliber as well ? ,I suppose it his interpretation of helping him looking your shooting experience, I suppose they do study all the evidence going towards you being successful or not on your application.
  23. My FAO on last visit recommended keeping a shooting log,he said it may help on any variations you might put in on FAC.
